CPT: Common Proficiency Test

CPT stands for Common Proficiency Test. It is an entry-level examination conducted by the Institute of Chartered Accountants of India for admission to Charted Accountancy course. It is also known as CA- CPT. This is a compulsory test to become a member of the Institute of Charted Accountants of India (ICAI).

Eligibility Criteria

A 10th pass candidate can register himself with the Institute of Charted Accountants of India. But if he wants to appear in the CPT examination, he must have completed at least 12th standard or equivalent from a recognized board. The registration and tuition fees for the CA CPT course are 6000 rupees. It is submitted at the time of submitting the completely filled application form. The application form fee is 600 rupees which can be downloaded from the official website www.icai.org.

CPT is generally conducted in the months of June and December. Commerce graduates, including other graduates and post-graduates, are exempted from the CPT. They just need to have the required percentage of marks to get direct admission into IPCC, the second level of Chartered Accountancy Examinations.

Filling Out the CA CPT 2022 Application Form

• The candidates should go to the ICAI's official website and choose the "CA CPT Exam" option. The official test website is icai.org.
• Individuals who have not registered must do so by providing information such as their name, address, phone number, and email address.
• The login ID and password are emailed to the registered email address upon registration. The application form is accessible to candidates by providing their login information.
• Fill in all the required fields on the application form with the following information: your name, address, contact information, and your educational history.
• Upload scanned copies of your passport-size photo, signature, and academic credentials in the appropriate size and format.
• Additionally, you must pay the application cost using a Mastercard or Visa debit card, online banking, or a Rupay card.

CA CPT 2022 Fee for Applications

It is necessary to pay the exam cost online using a credit card, debit card, Rupay card, or net banking. The application cost is not refundable after it has been paid.
