Hello! So I have a few flights under my belt utilizing my iPhone 6s Plus and wanted a bigger screen. I did a lot of research and found out that an iPad mini 2 or he newest wifi only model doesn't have GPS and the version with cellular service (yes I know service doesn't need to be on for GPS to work) was out of my price range.

So I did a lot of research and people said the Samsung Galaxy tab A would work and was an okay option.

So first flight with it the live view was breaking up very badly and I lost signal and the color and all was all off. So I ended up landing early to investigate. I had 17 satellites, and full charge on everything with compass calibrated prior to flight.

So I then read I needed to turn on airplane mode and turn off wifi. While reading I looked over and saw I had the little white gimbal foam piece on that says remove before flight. I don't have a carrying case so I use the box it came in and I usually remember to take off the foam block on the gimbal.

After I turned on airplane mode and wifi off and took the foam piece off I turned it all on and it no longer froze up or had any color issues. I didn't have enough battery left to fly it and test it out besides turning it on and moving it around with my hands and having my son run around in front of the camera lol. Was curious which could of caused my issue? Was it the foam block or the airplane mode and wifi.
