I'm: Basic Usage and Examples

I'm is an acronym for the word 'I AM.' It is used to tell someone about yourself. It is used in combination with other words. You can also use it to describe something you are doing. I'm is contraction of the word I am. Contraction is very common in english such as It's, You're, He's, I've, let's, I'll, I'd, don't, isn't, can't, doesn't, couldn't, what's, how's, that's, etc. I am and I'm, both mean the same in any situation.

You can use I'm to tell where you are from. For example:
