BE: Bachelor of Engineering

BE stands for Bachelor of Engineering. It is a four-year undergraduate degree program in engineering. It is awarded in many countries like India, Canada, South Africa, Russia, Australia, Malaysia, New Zealand, the United Kingdom, the United States and more. This degree is equivalent to a B.tech degree and is awarded by many IIT's, NIT's, states and central universities and many other private institutes in many branches of engineering.

The student who wants to take admission in BE must have completed 12th from a recognized board with the subjects of Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics with a certain specified percentage varying from university to university.

Difference between B.E. and B.Tech Programmes

The two terms, bachelor of technology and bachelor of engineering, sometimes cause confusion in students. Evidently, the orientation of these two is the same. There are a few things concerning these two courses that one should be aware of. The main distinction is that whereas B.Tech is primarily focused on applications, B.E. relates to the theoretical study of science.

Science-related engineering topics are mostly covered in B.E., while science-related technical topics are covered in B.Tech. The fundamental curriculum is pretty much unchanged.

Average Fees can start from INR 3 lakh to INR 8 lakh, whereas B. Tech. fees can start from INR 3 Lakhs to 19 Lakhs.
