CATIA Vs. ANSYS

CATIA

CATIA (Computer Aided Three-dimensional Interactive Application) is a commercial software package that covers many phases of product development (CAx), such as conception, design (CAD), engineering (CAE), and production. CATIA is a multi-platform CAD/ CAM/ CAE suite (CAM).

Around its 3DEXPERIENCE platform, CATIA supports collaborative engineering across disciplines, such as surface & shape design, electrical fluid & electronics systems design, mechanical engineering, and systems engineering.

CATIA makes it easier to design electronic, electrical, and distributed systems including fluid and HVAC systems, as well as to provide manufacturing-ready documentation.

A finite element analysis tool for structural analysis, including linear, nonlinear, and dynamic investigations, is called ANSYS Mechanical. This computer simulation tool offers material models, equation solvers, and finite elements to simulate behaviour for a variety of mechanical design issues.

In addition to acoustics, piezoelectric, thermal-structural, and thermoelectric analysis, ANSYS Mechanical now offers thermal analysis and linked physics capabilities.

All colleges are eligible to apply for this programme. The following academic criteria should be met by B.E., B.Tech, M.Tech, or M.E. students and faculty. If you'd like to partner with us and host this training programme at your institution, please read the request requirements and handle it properly:

An engineering college or institution should have a lecture hall with enough seats for seminars (Minimum capacity of 30 seats.)

A high-quality LCD projector that maintains comfort levels

Broadcasting system (1 Cordless MICs.)

Backup power and 220V AC power outlets.

The training programme provided hospitality for our visiting delegation.

Certification:

  • The Summer Training Program's (STP) courses are all accredited by Innovians Technologies.
  • Every learner will be given an Industrial Training Certificate along with a letter confirming project completion.
  • Recommendation letter from Innovians TechnologiesTM.
  • Course costs: Rs. 6500 per student

Two or four weeks in length (6 Hours Per Day)

Participants in the 4 Week Training (2 Week Classroom Training + 2 Week Project Work) will get 2 Weeks of classroom instruction, identical to the 2 Week Training Program, and 2 Weeks to complete one project or piece of research on the course topic, which they can do from home.

Project Work is for students who desire to complete the 4 Week Training Certificate Requirements set out by their institution or university. Otherwise, a 2-week training programme might be requested by the college. For Summer Training of 2 Weeks and 4 Weeks Length, Classroom Training is the Same.

Policy on Certification:

All workshop attendees received certificates of achievement from Innovians Technologies.

Certificate of Coordination for the campus workshop coordinators

Timeframe: 2 Weeks (5 Days a Week) - This class will go for two weeks in a row, with 6-7 hours of instruction every day.

Rs. 5000 is the cost per participant (Min 40 Participants).

PRO/E and CATIA are rivals in the market. Dassault Systemes owns the former, whereas PTC owns the latter. They are both most frequently used for student-level CAD/CAM and industrial-level CAD/CAM/PLM. They also provide CAE but are not very well known for it.

On the other side, ANSYS is an engineering simulation programme also referred to as CAE software. There are several modules in ANSYS, including:

Structural mechanics, multiphysics, fluid dynamics, explicit dynamics, electromagnetics, and hydrodynamics make up simulation technology (AQWA). Workflow engineering: High-Performance Computing, Geometry Interfaces, Simulation Process, and Data Management. Ansys Workbench Platform Though ANSYS CFD is the company's most notable product (Computational Fluid Dynamics)

The multi-platform CAD programme CATIA, also known as Computer Aided Three-Dimensional Interactive Application, was created by Dassault Systems and is sold by IBM. CATIA is suitable for surface modelling of automobiles, aeroplanes, high-end goods, etc.

As a mechanical programme that provides control over finite element analysis (FEA), ANSYS is frequently used in research including structural analysis, dynamics, linearity, and nonlinearity.

I'm assuming that the recognition is the same, however using ANSYS to analyse the project is far better than using CATIA since it provides you the chance to do much more than CATIA software enables you to.

Any FEA study requires fine mesh for a better solution, which you may get with the aid of element discretization. A better solution will yield an approximation of the final outcome. When compared to other FEA tools like ANSYS, MSC PATRAN NASTRAN, HYPERMESH, etc.

Catia's GSA Workbench can create mesh, but it's not of the same high quality as quad or brick mesh (for complicated component models). Therefore, superior quality mash for batter output is the main area of concern for CAE engineers and Industries.
