(i) DRX: Drug Expert

DRx stands for DRug eXpert. It is also sometimes referred to as DRE/DREx (drug recognition expert). A drug recognition expert is a police officer who has received training in a method to spot people whose ability to drive is hindered by substances other than or in addition to alcohol. To ascertain which drug class is allegedly causing the driver to be impaired, all DRExs follow the exact 12-step process known as a Drug Influence Evaluation (DIE).

DRX Full Form

If a DREx finds that a driver was too intoxicated to drive safely, he may search for signs of the substances he suspects, based on the often noticed effects those drugs have on the human body. A DREx mainly looks for seven classifications: CNS stimulants, CNS depressants, dissociative anaesthetics, cannabis, hallucinogens, inhalants, and narcotic analgesics.

The term "Drug Recognition Examination" or "Drug Recognition Evaluation" has been used to describe the testing by the DRX officers that they administer on suspects. Because of the confusion caused by the overlap of acronyms, the IACP (International Association of Chiefs of Police) has changed the name of the assessment conducted by DRX officers to the "Drug Influence Evaluation", or DIE.

In the early 1970s, police officers of the Los Angeles Police Department hired many DREs. The LAPD (Los Angeles Police Department) management formally acknowledged the officers' drug recognition techniques in 1979, and the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration adopted them in the early 1980s.

The International Association of Chiefs of Police awards certification (IACP) suggests that all DREs must track their assessments and update the outcomes in an online database to maintain their accreditation and good standing.


(ii) DRX: Debug Register X

DRX Full Form

DRX also stands for Debug Register X. A CPU uses a debug register to aid program debugging. There are six debug registers with DR0 through DR7, where DR4 and DR5 are no longer used in place of DR6 and DR7. Using the debug registers, programmers can choose to enable various debug circumstances connected to a group of four debug addresses. Two of these registers are in charge of the debug features.

Different MOV instruction variations can access these registers. The source operand or the destination operand can both be a debug register. The MOV instructions that access the debug registers can only be carried out at privilege level 0 since they are privileged resources. A general protection error will occur if you try to read or write the debug registers while using it on any other level of privilege.


(iii) DRX: Drax

DRX Full Form

DRX also stands for Drax. Drax Group PLC generates renewable energy and its subsidiaries in the United Kingdom. Three business divisions comprise the organisation: generation, customers, and pellet production. While the Generation segment supplies the electrical grid with dispatchable, renewable electricity and system support services, the Customers segment assists with non-generation system support and energy management. The segment of pellet production offers low-carbon fuel.

The corporation is the owner and operator of the 126 MW installed capacity Lanark and Galloway hydroelectric power stations in southwest Scotland, as well as the Cruachan Power Station, a pumped hydro storage facility in Argyll and Bute, and the 2,000 MW Drax Power Facility in Selby, North Yorkshire. The business also owns and runs the Daldowie fuel factory, which processes sludge and turns it into dry, low-odour fuel pellets. (iv) DRX: DVD Rewritable

DRX Full Form

DRX stands for DVD Rewritable. However, the term is rarely used in this context. A device called an optical drive uses a laser to read data from optical discs like CDs, DVDs, and Blu-ray Discs. When the disc is put into the purpose, it rotates quickly, and a laser beam reads the data from the disc. An optical drive that can read and write data to and from a DVD-RW disc is known as the DVD-RW drive in a computer.

Hard disc drives, typical forms of internal storage used by computers and laptops, are different from optical drives. Hard disc drives store data on rotating magnetic discs permanently installed in the device instead of detachable optical discs. Hard disc drives and solid-state drives carry out comparable tasks, but solid-state drives do it without moving parts.

These discs allow for numerous writing operations, which erase the original data and write new data, like replacing it on a hard drive. The data can be overwritten and erased up to 1,000 times. A DVD-RW drive may frequently write to DVD-R discs and DVD-RW discs.
