DSSSB stands for Delhi Subordinate Service Selection Board. The DSSSB posts a good number of openings for teaching positions each year. Although the DSSSB posts job openings under several departments, it only positions eligible candidates under departments of the Delhi government of the National Capital Territory, and the updates are posted in response to such postings only. Before applying for these positions, potential teachers should review the eligibility requirements, age restrictions, curriculum, exam format, and other conditions. Applications will be accepted for positions such as Assistant Engineer, Trained Graduate Teacher (TGT), Assistant Teacher (Nursery), Assistant Teacher (Primary), Lower Division Clerk (class 10 passed), Junior Secretariat Assistant, Personal Assistant to the President, Junior Engineer (civil and electrical), Assistant Engineer (civil and electrical), Assistant Law Officer and Legal Assistant, Postgraduate Teacher and Lecturer, Nursing Officer or ANM or Staff Nurse or Staff Nurse Group B, Lab Technician (class 10+Medical Laboratory Technology), Lab Technician Group III and Group IV Section Officer (Horticulture), Nursing Officer or ANM or Staff Nurse, Nursing Officer or ANM, Lab Technician (class 10+Class 12), stenographer, etc.

Nationality

The following is the nationality or citizenship requirement for DSSSB eligibility:

  • Any applicant for the post in DSSSB must be an Indian citizen.
  • A Nepali individual, Bhutan and Refugees from Tibet who entered India before January 1, 1962, may also apply.

Age Limit

The candidates should be within the DSSSB's established age range. The table below lists the age ranges for different positions:

  • PGT: less than 36 years old.
  • TGT: less than 32 years old.
  • PRT: less than 30 years old.
  • Manager (Civil): between 18-35 years old.
  • Manager (Mechanical): between 18-35 years old.
  • Post Graduate in Social work/ Sociology: between 18-30 years old.
  • Junior Engineer (Electrical/ Mechanical): less than 30 years old.
  • Jr Secretariat Assistant (LDC): between 18-27 years old.
  • Head Clerk and Patwari: not more than 30 years old.

Age Relaxation

The conducting authorities also give candidates from reserved categories an age reduction/ relaxation, and the age restriction increase will be added to the unreserved category's age restriction as below:

  • SC/ST: 5 years
  • OBC (non-creamy layers): 3 years
  • PWD: 10 years
  • (SC/ST) PWD: 15 years
  • PWD (OBC): 13 years

Eligibility

Every exam notification will include information on the comprehensive application process and applicant eligibility requirements. The most significant level of education, age, and other qualifications for the position will be included. To be eligible to apply online for the DSSSB tests, candidates must meet the qualifying requirements, such as:

  • PGT: Graduated from a recognised university with a minimum GPA of 50%.
  • TGT: Graduated from an accredited university with a minimum of 45% in the relevant topic.
  • PRT: Completed the 12th grade with at least a 50% grade point average from the recognised board.
  • Personal Assistant: Class 12 diploma from a reputable school, board, or university, as well as stenography exam qualification (applicant will be given dictation in Hindi/English for 10 minutes at a pace of 100 wpm). The computer should transcribe the spoken text in 40 (English) or 55 minutes (Hindi).
  • Junior Stenographer: Class 12th pass out from any reputable board or institution with English as a subject, with a skill test consisting of computer transcription of 50 pages at 80 words per minute and 10 minutes of dictation at 80 words per minute.
