Life in media
Even though Khan is frequently referred to be one of the most glamorous ladies in Bollywood, she is notorious for maintaining a low profile and being media-shy. She was on the front cover of Vogue India, a well-known lifestyle magazine in India, in January 2008. Chris Craymer, a well-known British lifestyle photographer, clicked the pictures for this magazine shoot. The magazine published this by naming her the "First Lady of Bollywood". Together with Sussanne Khan, she once more graced the cover of Vogue India in April 2012. During 2009 HDIL India Couture Week, she shared the runway with her spouse for their friend and fashion designer Karan Johar.
Before starting his outstanding career in Bollywood, Khan first met Shah Rukh Khan in Delhi in 1984. The couple married on October 25, 1991, in a customary Hindu ceremony, capping up a six-year relationship.
The couple has three children - Aryan Khan was born on November 12, 1997; Suhana Khan was born on May 23, 2000; and Abram Khan was born in 2013. They welcomed son Abram through surrogacy as they both felt lonely after their first two born moved abroad for their higher studies. Shahrukh Khan claims that despite his belief in Islam, he has a great deal of respect for his wife's faith. The Quran and Hindu deities are placed side by side in their house, and their children practise both religions.
