How to Delete YouTube Channel

YouTube is a popular website designed for uploading, sharing, and watching video content globally. This website is free for all users. Millions of users around the world have created an account on YouTube, which enables them to upload their video content.

Sometimes, it happens people create YouTube Channel with their name, and it is a possibility it matches the similar name of other YouTube channels in that case they prefer to delete their account. Many reasons can be caused to delete YouTube channels; you maybe get rid of all videos on your channel because you think viewers are not interested in view video on your channel at that time you want to delete your channel.

YouTube provides various options to its users, which vary from adding channel art to privacy settings, from live videos to a customer channel. Since its establishment, it delivered the best services to the world and made it easy for everyone who is active on the channel.

1. Using your YouTube account:

• Open YouTube:

Open your preferred web browser and type https://www.youtube.com/ in the address bar located at the top of the webpage and press the "Enter" button, you will be redirected to YouTube homepage where you can watch, upload and promote video content.

If you are not logged in to your Google account, you are unable to log into your YouTube account. You may have to enter your Email address and password to login to your YouTube account.

If none of your Google accounts is associated with your YouTube account, click add another account option and enter your email address and phone number to sign in.

• Click the Profile icon:

Once you logged into your YouTube account, you need to click on the Profile Icon Located at the top right corner of the YouTube homepage. You will see a drop-down menu with different options will appear.

• Click Settings:

When you drag down in the drop-down menu, you will see a settings option located at the bottom of the menu. Click on the settings option, doing so will navigate you on the new settings page of the YouTube account.

• Click View Advanced Settings:

When you click on the settings, it will navigate you on a new page where you will see all settings related options. Here you need to click View Advanced Settings option located at the bottom of the settings option.

• Click delete channel:

Once you clicked on the View advanced settings, a pop-up menu will appear. You need to click the "delete channel" located at the bottom of the pop-up menu. It will lead you to the login page where you need to enter your password.

• Enter Password:

If you click on the delete channel option, it will redirect you on the YouTube login page; there, you need to enter your "password" to log in to your Google account. Then click "Next" located below the password tab.

• Click I want to permanently delete my content:

Once you logged into your Google account, it will lead you on the new page where you will find an option I want to permanently delete my content located in the middle of the page. Clicking it results to expand a drop-down menu.

• Check the The following will be permanently deleted box:

Here, you need to click on the "The following will be permanently deleted" it includes "Comments that you made on YouTube," Your replies and thumbs-up on comments, Your messages, Your search and watch history."

• Click DELETE MY CONTENT:

Make sure you want to delete all your content from YouTube because you will never retrieve back your content once you deleted it. Click On the "DELETE MY CONTENT" icon located at the bottom of the page. Doing so will cause to appear a pop-up menu says This will permanently delete all your YouTube content, including all your videos, playlists, likes, subscriptions, comments, messages, search history, and watch history. This data can't be restored.

• Click DELETE MY CONTENT:

Once you entered your email address in the text box, click the "DELETE MY CONTENT" located at the bottom of the pop-up window. Doing so will result in the removal of the channel from your account.

If you are deleting YouTube Channel, it will delete all your accounts, including uploaded videos, playlists, and favorites. Once the deletion of your YouTube channel is completed, you will still be able to login to YouTube account for various purposes like watch videos, tutorials, music, etc.

2. Using your Google Account:

• Open Google account:

Open your preferred search engine and type www.gmail.com at the address bar located at the top of the web browser and press "Enter," you will be redirected to the Gmail account page.

If you are not logged into your Gmail account, you will need to enter your email address or phone number and password to login to your Gmail account.

Make sure you have entered a correct email address and phone number otherwise, you will be unable to login to your account.

• Click profile icon:

Once you logged in to your Gmail account, click on the profile icon located at the right corner of your Gmail page. It is a circular structure that shows your profile picture when you have already added your email profile picture. You will see a pop-up appear below your profile image.

• Click Manage Your Google Account:

From the profile option, you need to click Manage Your Google Account located in the middle of the pop-up menu. It will land you on the Google home page.

• Click Data and personalisation:

If you click on the Google account, it will land you on the Google home page, where you need to drag down and select the Data and personalisation icon located on the left side of the Google account page.

• Click on Delete a service or your account:

Here, you need to drag down and select the "Delete a service or your account" located below the page. This option enables you to delete your service related to your Google account.

• Click Delete a service:

When you click the delete a service or your account, it will land you on a new page, where you need to select "Delete a service" located at the top of the page.

• Enter Password:

Once you clicked on the delete a service, it will navigate you on the Gmail sign-in page where you need to enter your password located below the email address tab to login to your YouTube account.

• Click Next:

Make sure that you have entered your login credentials correctly afterward, click the "Next" button located at the bottom right corner of the Login page.

• Find the "YouTube" heading:

Here you need to choose your service, which you want to delete, for that you need to scroll down the list of service until you find the "YouTube" option.

• Click the Trash icon:

You will find this option is to the right of the YouTube heading; you need to click to the trash icon. It will redirect you to the YouTube Sign-in page.

• Re-enter your password:

Here, you need to re-enter your Google password in the given tab. Ensure that the password you have entered in the given tab is correct; otherwise, you are unable to login to your account.

• Click I want to permanently delete my content:

If you are login to your Google account, it will navigate you on the new page where you have an option "I want to permanently delete my content" located in the center of the page. If you click on it, a drop-down menu will appear.
