How to get verified on Instagram

To apply for the Instagram verification, follow the given steps:
Open your mobile phone application page and tap the Instagram app. It is represented by a multi-color camera icon. If you already logged into your Instagram account, it will land you on the Instagram homepage.
If you are not already logged into your account, you need to enter your phone number, email address, or username, whichever the option you preferred.

From the list of Settings option, you need to scroll down and tap the "Account" option located just above the Help option.
Tap Request Verifications:
In account settings, you will find various options related to the accounts, go down and tap the "Request Verification" option to proceed.
Confirm your Identity:
Here, you need to fill your Instagram account name and the given fields:
Full Name: Enter your full name, as same it appears on your government identity proof.
Known As: It could be the company name or your name. Here, you need to use the name that everyone knows you as.
Category: You can select from a list of options like News/media, sports, government/politics, music, entertainment, blogger/influencer, and business/brand/organization. You have to choose any one of them that makes the most sense for your Instagram account.
Here, the Instagram team asks you to upload a copy of your government photo ID or an official business document. For a business, you could upload a copy of a tax return, a utility bill of your organization name. For an individual account, you could upload a copy of your driving license, government Id, passport. Before proceeding for the next step, make sure that the name on your document matches the name you have entered above.
Once you filled all the details, you need to tap the "Send" button located at the bottom of the page. Instagram will review your application for verification.
After reviewing your application for verification, Instagram will notify you via message whether your request is approved or declined by the Instagram team. You will find the message in your Instagram message box. It generally takes a few days.
Note: Instagram will never ask you to pay the amount for verification, and they won't send you an email asking about the verification request.
