How to leave from a Facebook group

Facebook provides a place where people can share their common interests and express their opinions and for group communication. This place is referred to as Facebook Group. Facebook Group permits us to organize a common cause, issue or activity, share related content, express objectives, discuss issues, and post photos. The process of leaving a Facebook group is quite simple. When we leave from a group, our friends of that group won't be notified, our name will be removed from the group's member list and the group will also be removed from our list of groups, we will not get group notifications or see group posts in News Feed, and our friends will no longer know when we had seen a group post, even if we saw it before we left the group.

The process of leaving group is given below:

Desktop:

1) Login into Facebook Account

Firstly, open the Facebook official website by pasting the https://www.facebook.com/in the address bar of preferred web browser. If we already logged into Facebook, we will directly reach the News Feed page. But if we are not login, then we have to enter the username, phone number, and email address, followed by the password in the given tab.

2) Click on the Groups

In the first step, we will click on the Groups located on the left side menu.

In response to this click, the Groups page will be open. The page contains all the Groups which we have created or joined before.

3) Select the Group

Now, we will select the group from where we want to leave. After clicking on the group, the corresponding information page of that group will be open.

4) Click on the drop-down.

Now, we will click on the drop-down menu below the group's cover page. After clicking on the drop-down, a list of options will be visible.

5) Click on the leave group.

The drop-down menu contains only two options, i.e., Unfollow Group, and Leave Group. From these two options, we will select or click on the Leave Group.

6) Give Confirmation

After clicking on the Leave Group, the confirmation box will be open to confirm that we really want to leave the group or not. We will give the confirmation by clicking on the Leave Group button of the confirmation box.

Mobile App:

1) Login into Facebook Account

Firstly, we will launch the Facebook app. By doing this, we will directly reach the News Feed page. But if we are not login, then we have to enter the username, phone number, and email address, followed by the password in the given tab.

2) Open Facebook menu

After login successfully, we will open the Facebook menu by clicking on the menu icon located at the lower-right corner of the Facebook page.

3) Open Groups page and select a group.

Now, we will click to the Groups to open the Groups page. This page contains all the groups which we have created or joined before. From this page, we will select the group from where we want to leave.

4) Click on the three dots.

Now, we will click on the three dots located at the top-right corner of the group page. In response to this, click several options regarding the group that will be visible.

5) Click on the Leave Group

We will click on the Leave Group button. It is the last tool in the Tools list. After clicking on the Leave Group, a confirmation box will be open.

6) Give Confirmation

After clicking on the Leave Group, a confirmation box having three buttons, i.e., LEAVE GROUP, CANCEL, and MORE OPTIONS, will be open. It ensures that we really want to leave the group or not. We will give confirmation by clicking on the LEAVE GROUP. In response to this click, we will be successfully removed from this group.
