KGF Stands for Kolar Gold Fields. Prashanth Neel's K.G.F., a collection of historical action films in the Indian Kannada language starring Yash, is about the Kolar Gold Fields. Raja Krishnappa Bairya/Rocky (Yash), a high-ranking assassin who lived in Mumbai and was born into poverty but rose to prominence in the Kolar Gold Fields before spearheading an insurrection as an infamous businessman, is the focus of the series, which is set in the late 1970s and early 1980s.

Sanjay Dutt made his Kannada debut on July 29, 2019, when they confirmed that he would play the film's main antagonist Adheera. El Dorado, a book by journalist Anand Ingalagi that chronicled the occurrences at the Kolar Gold Fields (K.G.F.) between 1951 and 2018, was outlawed by the Indian government. Yet, a television news channel managed to obtain a copy and conduct an interview with him. In southern Mysore State in 1951, government officials found a gold mine, when Raja Krishnappa Bairya, "Rocky" was born to a lowly underage lady named Shanti.

While the official is killed, a notorious crime boss named Surya Vardhan, who was accompanying him, covertly establishes K.G.F. and leases the site for the Karachi limestone mine for 99 years. In addition to Andrews, who oversees the smuggling of gold throughout the nation's western coast, Kamal who is Rajendra Desai's son, Guru Pandian, the head of the government's DYSS party, and Adheera who is Suryavardhan's brother, the command of the K.G.F. security, were also connected.

Due to his immobility, Suryavardhan names his older son Garuda as the K.G.F.'s future heir. Adheera makes a failed attempt to kill Garuda, contrary to what Suryavardhan had anticipated that would do as his son's helper. Garuda then blows up Adheera's automobile and is thought to be dead. Rocky, who is 10 years old, moves to Bombay for wealth and power, as directed by Shanti. He starts working for Shetty, a gold smuggler and Andrews's subordinate, who faces off against Dubai-based adversary Inayat Khalil. Later on, Rocky advances through the ranks and is in charge of bringing African gold bars to the Bombay coast, where his influence starts to challenge that of Shetty. As he has no choice except to kill Garuda, Rocky travels to K.G.F. and kills a group of Garuda's goons to gain entry. The forcibly abducted employees of K.G.F. are exposed to cruel treatment and are treated like slaves. Rocky joins them and, despite being first indifferent, is moved by the guard's ruthless execution of a mother and boy. Rocky sneakily examines the mine map during a roll call in the maintenance room and nearly escapes death when a fellow enslaved person gives his life to protect the lives of his wife and child. Due to incomplete information about the incident, Andrews, Kamal, and Desai believe Rocky has been killed.

To save a blind enslaved person the guards were about to execute mercilessly, Rocky gets into a fight with the entire unit of 23 guards, murdering every single one of them. With this deed, Rocky gains the status of a messiah in the eyes of the enslaved people, instructing them to burn the guards bodies to alert Andrews and his men that he is still alive through their informants, Kulkarni and Virat, the younger brother of Garuda. Garuda leaves his house to look into the fire and the missing guards. Virat kills Surya Vardhan to stop this, and Garuda quickly returns home. To kill his father's allies as soon as the ritual is finished, Garuda asks Maa Kaali's ceremony to be moved from the following week to the following day. The recent unfortunate turn of events shakes him. As Vanaram learns that the third prisoner has already been slain in his prison cell, Rocky sneaks down a tunnel at night to where Garuda has chosen to behead three enslaved people as sacrifices to the goddess. Ingalagi concludes that Rocky deliberately picked K.G.F. as the site of Garuda's murder to give himself access to an army of enslaved people. Additionally, he implies that this is only the beginning. Chapter 2 of K.G.F.

After detailing the events in K.G.F.: Chapter 1, Anand Ingalagi has a stroke, and his son Vijayendra continues to relate the tale. To secure the assistance of Guru Pandian, Andrews, Kamal, and Rajendra Desai, Rocky kills Virat and seizes control of the K.G.F. while holding Reena prisoner. However, Kamal becomes furious with Rocky when he demands to marry Reena, which prompts Rocky to put Kamal to death. At an outpost, Adheera reappears and kills every guard. A recovered Rocky travel to Dubai with Reena to transact business in gold with Khalil and to purchase Kalashnikovs from him. With their freshly obtained weapons, Rocky and his crew murder Adheera's supporters while critically wounding him. A no-confidence resolution was prepared by several central ministers who were fed up with K.G.F. to overthrow the DYSS-backed government and install Ramika Sen. Ramika Sen becomes prime minister of India after winning the general elections in 1981. After being informed of the situation in K.G.F. by C.B.I. officer Kanneganti Raghavan, she gives the order to seal all state borders and permits Raghavan to search Rocky's storage facilities. Rocky's goons catch a young Ingalagi snooping, but the young man's moral character moves Rocky. A 400-gram gold bar is the only thing the C.B.I. finds during their raids. Rocky gets it from a police station and uses a DShK to take out the entire building by himself. Rocky suspends all K.G.F. exports, which strains his relationship with Khalil but allows mining to continue.
