Oracle Math functions

The Oracle Math functions are used for numeric manipulation and mathematical calculations. The following table indicates each of the functions with a brief description:

Functions Descriptions
median() The median()function is used to get the median of the given column name.
min() The Oracle min() function is used to get the minimum number of the given column name.
mod() The Oracle mod() function is used to get the remainder of given values.
power() The Oracle power() function is used to get the power of the given values.
remainder() The Oracle remainder() function is used to return the remainder of m divide by n.
round() The round() function is used to round of given number up to given decimal places.
rownum() The Oracle rownum() function is used to count the number of rows from the table.
sign() The Oracle sign() function returns the sign value of the given number.
sin() The Oracle sin() function is used to get the sine value of the given number.
sinh() The Oracle sinh() function is used to get the hyperbolic sine of the given number.
sqrt() The Oracle sqrt() function is used to get the square root of the given number.
sum() The sum() function is used to sum the values of given expressions.
tan() The tan() function is used to get the tangent of the given number.
tanh() The tanh() function is used to get the hyperbolic tangent of the given number.
trunc() The Oracle trunc() function is used to truncate the given number upto given certain decimal places.
abs() The abs() function is used to get the absolute value of the given number.
acos() The Oracle acos() function is used to get the arc cosine of the given number.
asin() The asin() function is used to get the arc sine for the specified number.
atan2() The atan2() function is used to get the arc tangent of given n and m number.
atan() The Oracle atan() function is used to get the arc tangent of the given number.
avg() The avg() function is used to get the average value from the given expression.
bitand() The Oracle bitand() function is used to get the AND operation between two expression (exp1, exp2).
ceil() The Oracle ceil() function returns the smallest value which is greater than or equal to the given number.
cos() The Oracle cos() function is used to get the cosine of the given number.
cosh() The Oracle cosh() function is used to get the hyperbolic cosine of the given number.
count() The count() function is used to get the total count for a particular column of the table.
exp() The Oracle exp() function is used to find e raised to the power of number, i.e., enumber.
floor() The floor() function is used to find the greatest integer which is equal to or less than the given number.
greatest() The Oracle greatest() function is used to get the largest number from the list.
