PCC: Police Clearance Certificate
PCC stands for Police Clearance Certificate. It is issued to Indian Passport holders when they apply for long term visa, immigration, residential status, or employment abroad. It is a legal document issued by a Government Agency or the Police Department to certify that the applicant has no criminal records. It is required by Indian citizens who want to migrate to a foreign country for the scope of employment, residential stay, etc. People going abroad as a tourist are not required to have this certificate.
