Rajinikanth was born in 1950 in Bangalore, Mysore State, on 12 December in a Marathi Family. He is now 71 years old. Today Mysore state is known as Karnataka state. His name in childhood was Shivaji Rao Gaekwad, but his name was changed in the future. He was named after Shivaji Maharaj. He was born in a very simple family, his father's name was Ramoji Rao Gaikwad, and he was a police constable by profession, and his mother was a homemaker, and her name was Jijabai. When he was only nine years old, his mother died. His parents had four children, 3 sons (Satyanarayana Rao, Shivaji Rao, and Nageshwara Rao) and 1 daughter (Aswath Balubhai), and he was the youngest among them all.

Rajinikanth's childhood was spent in Bangalore, and he did his primary education here. He was going to Gavipuram Government Kannada Model Primary School, which is in Banglore, for primary education. When he was studying in primary school, his elder brother enrolled him in Ramakrishna Math. Rajinikanth was interested in acting from the days of school life. When he studied at Ramakrishna Math, he acted in many plays, but one of his famous plays is where he played the role of Ekalavya's friend; for this role, he received much appreciation from everyone. D. R. Bendre, who was a famous Kannada poet, was very happy with his acting abilities.

He wanted to do acting courses at Madras Film Institute, but his family did not want him to do acting courses; but his one friend (Raj Bahadur), which was also his co-worker, supported him financially and also motivated him to join the institute.

Balachander, a well-known director of the Tamil film industry, was impressed by seeing him acting in Institutes, and he was the person who advised him to change his name to Rajinikanth because there was also one actor whose name was Sivaji Ganesan to avoid the confusion between him and Sivaji Ganesan he suggests to do so.

Acting career

K. Balachander was very pleased with the way Rajinikanth acted, and because of this, he gave Rajinikanth a small role in his filmApoorva Raagangal; this film was released in the year 1975; he played the role of the ex-husband in the film lead actress Srividya. This film garnered a lot of praise and also won many awards, for example, National Film Awards, Award for the Best Tamil Feature, and many more.

Rajinikanth had made a lot of places in people's hearts with his first film with a very small role. Rajinikanth's second film was Katha Sangma, directed by Puttanna Kangal and released in 1976. After this, Rajinikanth started getting many films offers, and in the year 1977, Rajinikanth's first film was released as a lead actor; the name of the film was Chilakamma Cheppindi, and this was a Telugu Film directed by Eranki Sharma, and through this film, Rajinikanth became quite popular.

Bhaskar, was Rajinikanth's first Tamil film as a solo actor, and this film was a life-changing film for Rajinikanth because this was the first film through which he started called a superstar. After this, Ilamai Oonjal Aadukirathu was another box office hit film of Rajjnikanth. Mullum Malarum, directed by Mahendran, was another successful movie for Rajnikanth, and for this movie, he got a lot of praise and also received many awards, such as the best actor award at Tamil Nadu State Film Awards.

Within just four years of debuting in the film world, he had worked in more than 50 films in different film industries, including Ninaithale Inikkum, Priya, Amma Evarikkaina Amma, and Aarilirunthu Arubathu Varai, were the most popular and successful one.

Rajinikanth considered his idol and inspiration Amitabh Bachchan in Bollywood or Hindi film industry, and because of this, he worked in many Tamil remakes of Amitabh Bachchan films, such as Amar Akbar Anthony remake Shankar Salim Simon released in the year 1977, Majboor remake Naan Vazhavaippen released in the year 1974, Don remake Billa released in the year 1980, Deewaar remakes Thee released in the year 1981 and Trishul remake Mr. Bharath released in th year 1986. After the success of the film Billa, Rajinikanth became the most popular star in South Indian cinema.

After working in South Indian Cinema, including Tamil Film Industry, Telugu Film Industry, Kannada Film Industry, and Malayalam Film Industry, Rajinikanth also thought of working in Bollywood. In 1983, Rajinikanth started his first Bollywood film called Andha Kanoon, and T. Rama Rao directed this film; in this film, Amitabh Bachchan, Hema Malini, Pran, and Amrish Puri were the other stars cast. The film performed well at the box office and became some of the year's best films. After this film, he got many films offers in the Hindi film industry, and Bewafai was one of his biggest successful movies in Bollywood.
