In the year 2006, she debuted on television through a mythological drama series, which was aired on Zee TV; and name of the series was Ravan. She played the role or character of Mandodari (Mandodari was the Wife of the king of Lanka, Ravana, according to Ramayana). After this in, the next year, she got a chance to be part of the English -language film Sambar Salsa, this movie was directed by Aditya Raj Kapoor, and Priyanka, Ateesh Randev, Roberta Caocci, and Rishi Kapoor were in the lead role in this film. After this, in the year 2008, she got a big opportunity in the television industry; she got a chance to play an important role in a television series which is directed by Ravi Chopra. On 28 January 2008, one television series was premiered on Star One named Pari Hoon Main, and she portrayed the dual role in this serial. The name of her characters in this series was Nikki Shrivastav and Pari Rai Choudhary; after performing these roles, she became very famous in the television industry and started making more and more fans day by day. After working on this series, she became part of another famous horror thriller series whose name was Ssshhhh...Phir Koi Hai, Manish Paul also played an important character in this horror thriller series. 
In 2009, one drama series was aired on Sony TV, and the name of this series was Meet Mila De Rabba; she was also part of this series and played the character of Dr. Meher Datta. Rashami had become a household name, but after working in the series Uttaran, she had become more famous than earlier. This series was broadcasted on Colors TV from the year 2008 to the year 2015; this series continuously aired on Colors Tv, and due to this is the third longest-running television series on Colors. In this television series, she played the role of Tapasya Thakur, and after portraying this role, she got many awards and a lot of applause. Sidharth Shukla, Rohan Gandotra, Mohammed Iqbal Khan, and Jasmin Bhasin were also in the lead role in this series. Rashami played the character of Shorvari Bhanushali and won the heart of many audiences through her brilliant acting.
