When she was only four years old, she acted in a Tamil movie for the first time as a child artist. The film was Kandhan Karunai, released in 1967.

The death of Bollywood's first female superstar Sridevi was not a natural death but an accidental death. Sridevi died at the age of 58. She did not die in India but Dubai's Jumeirah Emirates Towers Hotel. She died in 2018 due to drowning in the hotel's bathtub on February 24. After the investigation in the toxicology report, some amount of alcohol was found in the body, and water in the lungs was also found. So, this was an accidental death, so Dubai Police investigated this case.

And a few days later, the investigation of this case was closed by the Dubai Police, and Sridevi's body was brought from Dubai to India on February 27. Then on February 28, the Funeral of Sridevi took place at the Seva Samaj Crematorium in Mumbai. Sridevi's Funeral was done with state honors, and she also received a gun salute.
