Indian original television shows and films are available on Netflix in ever-growing quantities. When it comes to local, original content, streaming services are actively competing with one another. That's because the number of people watching videos in India has increased dramatically. In India, a Netflix subscription for mobile devices only is now available for as little as Rs 149 per month. There is no shortage of excellent content on the streaming service, but if you're specifically looking for Indian original series, you're in luck. Here is a list of the top 10 Netflix original series produced in India. Look at the list below.

1. Delhi Crime

Richie Mehta is the writer and director of the online streaming television programme Delhi Crime, an Indian crime drama. Radhesh More oversees casting, and the production companies Golden Karavan, Ivanhoe Productions, Film Karavan, and Poor Man's Productions. Rajesh Tailang, Shefali Shah, Rasika Dugal, and Adil Hussain all appear in the series. After the Delhi gang rape in 2012, the first season is set. The Chaddi Baniyan Gang is the main topic of the second season.

The first season's filming took 62 days to complete after starting in Delhi in January 2018. From the moment the incident occurs until the suspects are finally arrested, it is covered in the series. They made the decision to translate Chandra's book into Hindi. After the script was finished, Motwane asked Kashyap to co-direct; Motwane handled the scenes with Singh, and Kashyap handled the scenes with Gaitonde. Motwane's director of photography was Swapnil Sonawane, and Sylvester Fonseca and Aseem Bajaj shot the scenes that Kashyap directed. Motwane reduced his involvement to that of showrunner for the second season, and Neeraj Ghaywan took over as director. The background score was written by Alokananda Dasgupta, and the editor was Aarti Bajaj.

On July 5, 2018, eight episodes of the first season of Sacred Games were made available on Netflix in 191 different nations. The television show has subtitles in more than 20 different languages. Nine different musicians, including Jasleen Royal, Samar Grewal, Anurag Saikia, Prateek Kuhad, Shashwat Singh, Taaruk Raina, Deepa Unnikrishnan, Abhijay Negi, and Hiphop Bhaiya, contributed to the Mismatched soundtrack album. Along with Ritviz, Raj Shekhar, Shwetang Shankar, and Nikhita Gandhi, five of them also contributed to the song lyrics. Additionally, Anurag Saikia composed the series' background music.

On November 20, 2020, Netflix's streaming service aired the first episode of the show.

Audiences responded favourably, and reviewers praised the cast's performances, the music, the background score, the chemistry between Saraf and Koli, and the film's chemistry in general. Critics, though, had issues with the writing and the direction. On March 3rd, 2021, the show received a second season renewal. On October 14, 2022, Season 2 on Netflix made its debut.

The crux of the story is about how Sheikhpura IPS Amit Lodha brings the Ashok Mahto gang to justice, while navigating his own personal issues.

The series was announced in October 2022, and teaser of the series was released on 28 October 2022. The official trailer was released on 05 November 2022. Karan Tacker was cast in the titular role, and was joined by Avinash Tiwary as the leads. On November 25, 2022, the television series made its Netflix debut.

5. Bombay Begums

It tells the story of a grieving mother who discovers the criminals responsible for her daughter's tragic death and undergoes a transformation from meek to merciless in order to discover the true cause of death. The series will premiere on Netflix on April 15, 2022. The series was originally scheduled to premiere on Netflix India in 2021, but that date was postponed due to unfinished post production. The date of the final release was April 15, 2022.

10. CAT

CAT is a Netflix original punjabi crime drama series that was developed and written by Balwinder Singh Janjua, Rupinder Chahal, Anil Rodhan, and Jimmy Singh. Randeep Hooda, Suvinder Vicky, Hasleen Kaur, Geeta Aggarwal, Danish Sood, Jaipreet Singh, Sukhwinder Chahal, KP Singh, and Kavya Thapar are among the actors who appear in it. This is the first Punjabi-language OTT debut series for Randeep Hooda and a first for Netflix in India.

The storyline is that Gurnam, a police CAT who served in Punjab during the Insurgency of the 1990s, helps a cop by the name of Sehtab Singh save his brother Sunny from a drug trafficking case. Once more, Sehtab employs Gurnam to serve as a spy and divulge details about the drug trade in the area. Gurnam learns that Baljit Singh Rajpuria and Sehtab are conspiring to kill his parents while he is working with Sehtab. Gurnam is so incensed by this knowledge that he loses focus on his task and becomes determined to exact revenge on those who killed his parents.

In Punjab, 80 different locations were used to film the web series' session 1; not a single scene was filmed on a set. On December 9, 2022, CAT became available on the OTT service Netflix.
