Indian original television shows and films are available on Netflix in ever-growing quantities. When it comes to local, original content, streaming services are actively competing with one another. That's because the number of people watching videos in India has increased dramatically. In India, a Netflix subscription for mobile devices only is now available for as little as Rs 149 per month. There is no shortage of excellent content on the streaming service, but if you're specifically looking for Indian original series, you're in luck. 1. Delhi Crime

Richie Mehta is the writer and director of the online streaming television programme Delhi Crime, an Indian crime drama. Radhesh More oversees casting, and the production companies Golden Karavan, Ivanhoe Productions, Film Karavan, and Poor Man's Productions. Rajesh Tailang, Shefali Shah, Rasika Dugal, and Adil Hussain all appear in the series. After the Delhi gang rape in 2012, the first season is set. The Chaddi Baniyan Gang is the main topic of the second season.

The first season's filming took 62 days to complete after starting in Delhi in January 2018. From the moment the incident occurs until the suspects are finally arrested, it is covered in the series. Nine different musicians, including Jasleen Royal, Samar Grewal, Anurag Saikia, Prateek Kuhad, Shashwat Singh, Taaruk Raina, Deepa Unnikrishnan, Abhijay Negi, and Hiphop Bhaiya, contributed to the Mismatched soundtrack album. Along with Ritviz, Raj Shekhar, Shwetang Shankar, and Nikhita Gandhi, five of them also contributed to the song lyrics. Additionally, Anurag Saikia composed the series' background music.

On November 20, 2020, Netflix's streaming service aired the first episode of the show.

Neeraj Pandey is the author of the crime thriller television series Khakee: The Bihar Chapter, an Indian production available online. This series is based in Sheikhpura district, Nalanda district and Patna district. Chandan Mahato, who was actually Pintu Mahato in real life, is a member of Ashok Mahto gang, which has been active in Nalanda and Sheikhpura for many years. The crux of the story is about how Sheikhpura IPS Amit Lodha brings the Ashok Mahto gang to justice, while navigating his own personal issues.

The series was announced in October 2022, and teaser of the series was released on 28 October 2022. The official trailer was released on 05 November 2022. Karan Tacker was cast in the titular role, and was joined by Avinash Tiwary as the leads. On November 25, 2022, the television series made its Netflix debut.

5. Bombay Begums

The Netflix original drama series Bombay Begums was created by Alankrita Shrivastava, who also contributed to the writing of the script with Bornila Chatterjee and Iti Agarwal. 7. Jamtara

8. Ghoul

The second Netflix original from India after Sacred Games is the horror streaming television miniseries Ghoul, which is based on the Arab folklore monster ghoul. Patrick Graham is the series' writer and director, and Jason Blum, Anurag Kashyap, Ryan Turek, Vikramaditya Motwane, Michael Hogan, Kilian Kerwin, John Penotti, and Suraj Gohill are all involved in the production as well, under their respective imprints of Blumhouse Productions, Phantom Films, and Ivanhoe Pictures.

The main plot of the tale, which is set in a dystopian future in which fascism is at its height and is set in India, involves questioning the notorious terrorist Ali Saeed in a government internment camp. Graham's dream served as the inspiration for the miniseries. The production, which was originally intended to be the first of three films in a deal between three production companies, was acquired by Netflix in February 2018 after Graham decided a longer format would be preferable and had it turned into a miniseries. 9. Mai

Mai: A Mother's Rage, or simply Mai, is a 2022 Indian Hindi-language family thriller drama streaming television series on Netflix created by Atul Mongia, directed by Anshai Lal, and produced by Anushka Sharma and her elder brother Karnesh Ssharma under the banner of Clean Slate Filmz. Sakshi Tanwar, Wamiqa Gabbi, Prashant Narayanan, Raima Sen, Anant Vidhat Sharma, and Vaibhav Raj Gupta play the lead characters in the series.

It tells the story of a grieving mother who discovers the criminals responsible for her daughter's tragic death and undergoes a transformation from meek to merciless in order to discover the true cause of death. The series will premiere on Netflix on April 15, 2022. The series was originally scheduled to premiere on Netflix India in 2021, but that date was postponed due to unfinished post production. The date of the final release was April 15, 2022.

10. CAT

CAT is a Netflix original punjabi crime drama series that was developed and written by Balwinder Singh Janjua, Rupinder Chahal, Anil Rodhan, and Jimmy Singh. Randeep Hooda, Suvinder Vicky, Hasleen Kaur, Geeta Aggarwal, Danish Sood, Jaipreet Singh, Sukhwinder Chahal, KP Singh, and Kavya Thapar are among the actors who appear in it. This is the first Punjabi-language OTT debut series for Randeep Hooda and a first for Netflix in India.

The storyline is that Gurnam, a police CAT who served in Punjab during the Insurgency of the 1990s, helps a cop by the name of Sehtab Singh save his brother Sunny from a drug trafficking case. Once more, Sehtab employs Gurnam to serve as a spy and divulge details about the drug trade in the area. Gurnam learns that Baljit Singh Rajpuria and Sehtab are conspiring to kill his parents while he is working with Sehtab. Gurnam is so incensed by this knowledge that he loses focus on his task and becomes determined to exact revenge on those who killed his parents.

In Punjab, 80 different locations were used to film the web series' session 1; not a single scene was filmed on a set. On December 9, 2022, CAT became available on the OTT service Netflix.
