In 2008, Ishwariya Park was constructed close to the Shree Ishwariya Mahadev Temple by the Rajkot Municipal Corporation. The Rampara Wildlife Sanctuary is a lush forest close to Khijadiya, the village in Rajkot, Gujarat, 42 km from Rajkot Junction. It is one of Gujarat's most significant wildlife sanctuaries and a top destination in Rajkot vacation packages. It has been chosen as a backup location for the Gujarat Asiatic lion breeding center.

Rampara, a former hunting reserve once owned by the former princely state of Wankaner, was purchased by the government in 1975 and designated as a reserve forest in 1983. It was then certified as a sanctuary in 1988 to save the local animals and natural plant life. The sanctuary, which spans an area of approximately 15 sq. km., is situated close to the Machchhu River. Two streams drain it, Pat a gala vonklo and Vaghrigalo vonklo.

The sanctuary, one of the greatest wildlife preserves close to Rajkot, includes:
