(i) BGM: Boddington Gold Mine

BGM stands for Boddington Gold Mine. It is the mining site of gold and copper in the northwest of Boddington in Western Australia. It started its mining operation in 1987 and was shut down on 30^th November 2001. It re-started its process on 3^rd February 2010 by Western Australia Premier Colin Barnett. Currently, it is the largest gold mine in Australia.

The ownership of Boddington Gold Mine was divided between Normandy Mining, Acacia Resources and Newcrest Mining, with 44.44%, 33.33% and 22.235, respectively. However, in 2002, Newmont Company acquired the share of Normandy Mining. Later, in 2005, it also received the share of Newcrest Mining. The percentage of Acacia Resources was taken by AngloGold company.

In 2021, it recorded the production of 696,000 ounces of gold and 71,000,000 pounds of copper.

(ii) BGM: Bayesian Graphical Model

BGM also stands for Bayesian Graphical Model. It is also called as Bayes network, Bayes net or Belief network. The probabilistic graphical model depicts the variables and conditional dependencies through a directed acyclic graph (DAG). It is used to predict an event's likelihood and its probable causes. The model represents the cause of the occurrence of an event and its effect.

(iii) BGM: Brace Gatarek Musiela

BGM also stands for Brace Gatarek Musiela. It is the financial model used for the pricing interest rate of derivatives using the London Interbank Offered Rate (LIBOR). It prices the instruments like swap options and caplets through the market quoted rate. It determines the price of an instrument when the payoff is segregated into yields, as yields are specific to the time frame and correlate with other forward rates. This model determines the profit of the securities by using forward LIBOR rates.

(iv) BGM: Blood Glucose Monitoring

BGM also stands for Blood Glucose Monitoring. It refers to the monitoring of blood glucose levels in the body, mainly used in the person with diabetes. The device used for monitoring the glucose level is a glucose meter. It shows the change in glucose level, which helps plan the diet, physical activities and other medical routines. This monitoring is done for hyperglycaemia and hypoglycaemia and deciding on the use of external insulin.

BGM stands for Background Music. It is the genre of musical performance in which the focus is not on presenting the music but on supporting the main content to give the context of the scene, whether it relates to happiness or sorrow, etc. It drives the emotional and behavioural patterns of the listeners depending on the main content. BGM is played in movies and in between the main scenes when there is generally an absence of dialogue. Apart from films and plays, BGM is played in shops, malls, empty theatres and restrooms to create a musical and light ambience. The sole motive of BGM is to relax the mood of individuals through soft music to keep their interest in the main content, which is why it is played at low volume.

(vi) BGM: Bellingham Railway Station

BGM stands for Bellingham Railway Station. It is a small railway station in the London Borough of Lewisham in South London. Here, Thameslink operates all the trains, and it has two platforms. It was opened on 1^st July 1892.

(vii) BGM: Background Music (Album Name)

It is a music album launched on 21^st March 1981 by Yellow Magic Orchestra in Japan. It was also known as Beautiful Grotesque Music. This album first featured Roland TR-808, the earliest programmable drum machine. Apart from that, this album was the first to be recorded through the Roland MC-4 Micro composer. Ryuichi Sakamoto and Peter Barakan were the lyricists of the album.

(viii) BGM: Greater Binghamton Airport

BGM stands for Greater Binghamton Airport. It is an airport situated in New York. It is located in Johnson City, New York, United States. Earlier, it was known as Broome County Airport. Later, in the 1970s, it was renamed Edwin A. Link Field- Broome County Airport, in honour of the inventor of the aircraft simulator.

The BGM airport is spread over 1199 acres at 1636 feet. It has two asphalt runways. It provides airport services to the southern tier of New York City.
