What is the full form of IFFCOIFFCO: Indian Farmers Fertilizer Cooperative LimitedIFFCO stands for Indian Farmers Fertilizer Cooperative Limited. It is one of the leading cooperative societies in India wholly owned by the Indian Cooperatives. It is founded in 1967 with only 57 cooperatives and today, it is an amalgamation of more than 36,000 Indian Cooperatives with a wide range of business interests such as general insurance, rural telecom in addition to its core business of manufacturing and selling fertilizers. In the FY 2014-15, its turnover was 25,048 crores. It is deemed to be registered as a multistate cooperative society after the enactment of the Multistate Cooperative Societies act 1984 & 2002. Sh. Paul Pothen was the first managing director of IFFCO. As of October 2017, Mr. Balvinder Singh Nakai is the Chairman and Dr. U.S. Awasthi is the M.D & CEO of IFFCO.
