Anaconda

Anaconda is the Open Source data science distribution for the Python and R programming languages scientific computing, such as data science, machine learning applications, predictive analysis, large-scale data processing, etc. The Anaconda can be used to simplify package management and deployment. It includes more than 300 data science packages that are suitable for Windows, Linux, and MacOS.

This platform is developed and maintained by Anaconda Inc. that was founded by Travis Oliphant and Peter Wang in the Year 2012. It can also be called Anaconda Distribution or Anaconda Individual Edition because it is an Anaconda Inc. product. In contrast, other products from the company are Anaconda Team Edition and Anaconda Enterprise Edition. It has over 20 million users worldwide and is the easiest way to perform Python/R data science and machine learning on a single machine.

Anaconda will be available in three different editions, which are:

Individual Edition: This edition was developed for Solo practitioners.
Team Edition: The team edition has been developed to work with the team on the same page.
Enterprise Edition: The Enterprise edition has been developed to use data science and machine learning to make a better decision.

All the editions of Anaconda can be used to simplify the package management and deployment. It comes with a large variety of tools for collecting data quickly form several sources with Machine Learning and AI algorithms. Using Anaconda, we can deploy any project with a single click.

Downloading and Installing Anaconda

Step 1: Go to https://www.anaconda.com/ and click on the product option on the title menu.

Step 2: Now, click on Individual Edition to download it for learning and personal use.

Step 3: Scroll down and click on the download button.

Step 4: When you click on the download button, it will redirect you here, as shown in the image below.

Step 5: Now, you can select the link according to your operating system. In our case, we will select the Windows 64-bit Graphical Installer.

Step 6: Now, click on the downloaded installer

Step 7: Click on the next button to continue with the installation and click on the I agree with the next page's button.

Step 8: Now, select the option according to your requirement. If you want to choose to get it used by a single user, it recommends selecting "Just me."
