The metro cities in India are famous for their infrastructure and modern age facilities and continuous development in all aspects of the growth and well-being of the people. There are many tallest buildings in different cities of India. If we talk about Mumbai, it has over 4000 high-rise buildings and comes at 6th position in terms of the highest number of skyscrapers in the world.

The list of tallest buildings in India:

1) Omkar 1973, Mumbai

Omkar 1973 is a multi-skyscraper project located in Worli Mumbai. It is 3-tower complex> by Omkar Realtors with a maximum height of 450 meters. At present, it is under construction and is supposed to get completed by 2020. However, out of three towers (A, B & C), towers A & B are complete and has 76 and 75 storeys respectively. This project is offering over 400 sky bungalows with area ranging from 2500 sq. ft. to 18,200 sq. ft.

This project with a height of around 450 meters will have 3 underground floors for parking. It is well connected by major roads such as Rajiv Gandhi Sea Link, Khan Abdul Gaffar Khan Marg, and Eastern Freeway, and Worli Road.

2) Three Sixty West Tower, Mumbai

Three Sixty West Tower is located in Worli, Mumbai. It is supported at ground level by a podium and is a mixed-use structure that comprises two towers (A & B); one will have the Ritz-Carlton Hotel and the other will have luxury residential apartments. The tower B that has over 80 floors stands at a height of 366 meters and is higher than tower A. Its construction started in 2011 by Oberoi Realty.

The towers are angled in a way that each residence can have a sea view. Besides this, it offers a wide range of lifestyle experiences such as zones for fitness, sports, kids? activities and lounging, leisure and relaxation.

3) Palais Royale, Mumbai

It is a skyscraper residential tower with 88 floors located in Lower Parel of Mumbai. It stands at a height of 320 meters and has 56 floors. At present, it has 120 apartments with lots of facilities like a spa, a cinema house, badminton court, football pitch, swimming pools, etc.

The area of the apartment ranges from 8,000 sq. ft. to 14,000 sq. ft. There are a total of 10 elevators in the building that can move with a maximum speed of 7m/sec. Its construction started in the year 2008 and may get completed by May 2020. The companies involved in its construction include Shree Ram Urban Infrastructure, Talati Panthaky Associates and Sterling Consultancy Services Pvt. Ltd.

4) The 42, Kolkata

The 42, Kolkata is a residential skyscraper in Kolkata. Its height is 268 meters that makes it the largest building in the Kolkata. It consists of 61 floors, however, four more floors will be added after a change in the rule related to the construction within a kilometre of the Metro Railway corridor. However, it has 56 flats with a triplex on the top floors.

It is located in Chowringhee road in the central business district of the city between two high-rise buildings called Jeevan Sudha and Tata Centre. The developers involved in its construction are the Mani group, and Alcove Realty & Diamond Group.

5) Lodha-The Park, Mumbai

Lodha-The Park is a skyscraper with beautiful landscapes located on the Pandurang Budhkar Marg in Lower Parel in the city of Mumbai in India. It stands at a height of around 268 meters and consists of 78 floors. It is spread over an area of 717.5 acres out of which .5 acres is used for a park.

Its land was purchased from DLF Limited for around Rs. 2800 crore in 2012. It is inspired by the famous urban parks of the world and is developed by the Lodha Group. It is offering a wide range of facilities related to comfort and security such as 24/7 power backup and water supply, car parking, firefighting systems, theatre, indoor games, banquet hall, library, sun deck, community hall, and more.

6) Imperial Towers, Mumbai

Imperial Towers Mumbai stands at a towering height of 254 metres. It is a twin residential skyscrapers situated in Tardeo, Mumbai. It was built in 2010 and has a podium on the ninth floor provided with green space facility for the residents. It is a 60 storey towers that offer luxury apartments to live and is spread over 4 acres of land.

The Architect Hafeez Contractor has designed this tower. It was constructed on the former slum land in Tardeo, South Mumbai. It is a successful project in terms of redeveloping slum and cotton mill land across the Mumbai and as well as India.

7) Ahuja Towers, Mumbai

Ahuja Towers is located at Prabhadevi in Mumbai. It is a 53 storey high-rise residence that stands at a towering height of 248 meters and offers 4BHK apartments and 6BHK penthouses starting at 17 crores onwards. Ahuja Towers offers a perfect setting to live a comfortable life in the prime location of Worli, Mumbai close to the Chhatrapati Shivaji International Airport.

Auris Serenity is built by the Sheth Creators also known as Seth Group. It is one of the tallest and largest residential skyscrapers in Mumbai, India. This residential complex is spread over 5.73 acres of land and stands at a height of 235 meters. However, it is under construction at present. The possession will be offered in December 2021 as per the builders.

Auris Serenity comprises four towers with 62 floors offering apartments with sea-view including rejuvenating ambience and other comforts of modern times. The top facilities provided by the project include restaurants, high-speed elevators, waiting lounge, swimming pool, steam room, skating rink, squash court.

10) Crescent Bay T5, Mumbai

Crescent Bay is a residential project in Parel, Mumbai. It is developed by L&T Realty in collaboration with Omkar. It is spread over 5.5 acres and is a gated complex of six residential towers with a maximum height of 233 meters. There are around 60 floors in a tower and 1282 apartments in the whole township.

The configuration of the apartments is 2, 3 and 4BHK and the area of the apartment ranges from 63 sq. metre to 250 sq. metre. It is a skyscraper residential complex located off Old Mahabalipuram Road, Egattur, Chennai. It is a 40 storeyed residential tower that stands at a height of 204 meters and is believed to be the tallest building of South India. It is a blend of style and comfort. Each apartment has marble or wooden laminated flooring and vitrified tiles in other parts of the apartment. Along with all modern times facilities, a puja room is also provided in the apartments.

The project was commissioned by the famous south Indian actor Mohanlal in 2012.

According to the MD of the Choice Group, this complex was designed to withstand earthquakes of intensity 7.2 in the Richter scale. The construction of this luxury residential tower was completed in four years.

20) Gujarat International Finance Tec (GIFT) One, Ahmedabad
