Java Thread toString() method

The toString() method of thread class is used to return the string representation of the thread, including the thread's name, priority and thread group.

Syntax

Return

This method returns a string representation of the thread.

Example

public class JavaToStringExp implements Runnable 
{
    Thread t;
    JavaToStringExp() 
    {
        t = new Thread(this);
        // this will call run() function
        t.start();
    }
    public void run() 
    {
        // returns a string representation of this thread 
        System.out.println(t.toString());
    }
    public static void main(String[] args) 
    {
        new JavaToStringExp();
    }
}

Output:

Thread[Thread-0,5,main]
