Exercise, healthy eating, and relaxation are crucial for maintaining our physical fitness.

Background of PT

Human society has long included physical training. To kill animals for food and to survive, humans had to be physically fit in 10000 BC. In preparation for the Olympic games in 1896, athletes from Ancient Greece engaged in extensive physical training. Following that, physical training has been used extensively for kingly troops.

PT's Importance

  1. A person's right to enjoy a healthy life includes the ability to be physically fit. As we all know, following the post-pandemic age of covid, new diseases are constantly threatening our lives; thus, in order to survive and combat illnesses, we must build a strong body. Therefore, exercise helps our bodies fight against illnesses and increase body resistance.
  2. A person needs to be physically fit to prevent unneeded illnesses and medical encounters because there are numerous diseases that can harm our bodies, and not everyone can afford medical upkeep in private hospitals.
  3. Exercise improves our quality of life and health. During the activity, perspiration removes impurities from the body and purifies blood, which is why we get moist from sweating.
  4. Due to an increase in cardiac efficiency, exercise also lowers various illness risks, including cardiovascular diseases. Fitness training also lowers the chances of high blood pressure, high cholesterol, and triglycerides.
  5. Our personalities become more alluring as our muscles develop into appealing shapes.
  6. Additionally, the chances of breast and colon cancer, Type 2 Diabetes, metabolic syndrome, and stroke are decreased.

How can it be done?

  • Exercise can be done both at home and in a gym, including yoga poses, aerobics, dance, Zumba sessions, etc.
  • There are numerous different physical exercise stances for working out various body parts. Squats, for instance, can be done for the legs.
  • Push-ups are good for building biceps, and running is good for building endurance.
  • Running, aerobics, weight training, and yoga are a few examples of exercises. Cycling and rock climbing are two additional active activities.

Adverse Consequences of Exercise

  • Physical exercise has numerous advantages, but it also has some drawbacks. If we engage in rigorous exercise all day long without getting enough rest and nutrition, our bodies begin to deteriorate, and we experience constant exhaustion in our everyday activities.
  • We experience several injuries when participating in sports, and these injuries can sometimes get worse before they get better. Lifting big weights can cause cramping and bone fractures in weight lifters. Boxers may suffer from facial fractures and bleeding from the nose, and runners may have hamstring injuries.
  • Additionally, many steroids are taken by gym-going persons to achieve rapid fitness, but over time, they impair male reproductive levels and may even result in male infertility.
  • Numerous outstanding cricket players have been known to sustain sporting injuries. When playing a cover drive stroke, Sachin Tendulkar frequently had a hamstring injury.
  • No matter what sport they play, every outstanding sportsperson has experienced at least one sports injury.

As a result, over-exercising makes the body more susceptible to injuries.

Government's Initiative to Promote Fitness and Physical Preparation

As part of this movement, local state governments also create initiatives that promote health education, fitness awareness, cycling marches, and marathons to urge inhabitants to be more physically active.
