Insert PDF into PowerPoint
A PDF file is a document that contains all types of content, including text, images, so it would be a good idea if you can import PDF anywhere.
Suppose you have received a PDF from a client or your team, and you want to add the content to your PowerPoint presentation, and you have less time to re-draw the presentation from scratch. Now it is possible to insert your PDF into PowerPoint.
There are several ways users can add a PDF to their PowerPoint to create a richer and easier presentation. Users can insert the whole PDF as an object or a picture and view it during their slideshow.
Insert a PDF as an Object on a PowerPoint Slide
If you insert a PDF as an object, then the entire PDF file will be added to the PowerPoint slide, and you can open it during your presentation with one click.
- Open the PowerPoint presentation and select your slide where you want to insert the PDF.
- Now, select the Insert tab from the top of the window.
- Click on the Object icon, and the insert object dialog box will open.
- From the insert object dialog box, select Create from File option and then click on the Browse button to choose the PDF file.
- Select your file and then click OK.
- PDF first page will be added to your selected slide. Click on the page to open the entire PDF file on PDF viewer.
Opening the PDF during a Slideshow
- Open your presentation and click on any image or icon.
- Now, select the Insert tab from the top of the window.
- Select Action. An Action Setting dialog box will open.
- Choose Mouse click or mouse over as per your choice. Now, choose the Object Action option button, then click OK.
Insert a PDF into PowerPoint as a Picture
This will help you to insert a page from your PDF into your PowerPoint presentation as an image.
- Open that particular page of your PDF, which you want to insert into your PowerPoint.
- Now, go to a slide of your PowerPoint presentation where you want to insert the PDF image.
- Select the Insert tab from the top of the window.
- Once you click on Screenshot, all the opened windows will show, including the open PDF file. Select the PDF file image to add it to the slide as an image.
