The vastness of the sea extended below, and it seemed like an incredibly long distance away - stretching for miles down. The young seagull did not believe in his wings and feared that his wings would fail in the middle of the flight. With that fear, he returns to his hole under the ledge and sleeps there. Although, his brother and sister had smaller wings and used to expand their wings and fly. But the young seagull did not gather the courage to dive into the seas for which he was so eager. His parents came and warned him with high pitched voice, scolded and intimidated, that he would remain hungry until he flew into the sky.

For 24 hours, nobody had come to his close, and the day before, all the time, he saw his parents and siblings flying in the sky and making the flying flawless, learning new techniques flying just above the surface of the sea and catching the fish. The young seagull observed that his older brother had caught and eaten a fish immediately. His parent and sibling walked through the mountain's beautiful plateau and gorgeous cliff and teased him for his timidness.

The sun was rising towards the sky and directing the sunlight towards the ledge in the southward position. He experienced the heat at first instance as he was hungry from the last night.

The young seagull walked toward the end of the ledge. He tried to give a false impression of being asleep by standing on one leg and hiding the other in the wings. But they looked unconcerned. The young seagull observed his siblings and father dozing on the plateau while his mother stood and ate. He was drawn to the sight of the food and strongly desired to tear at it and scrape his beak to sharpen it like his mother.

The seagull pleaded to his mother to come with some food. But his mother replied with "Gaw-col-ah, "He constantly requested his mother, but after some time, cheerfully shouted. The loud cheer was because his mother had picked up a portion of fish and headed towards him. He came out with curiosity, knocking the stone with his feet and trying to reach out to her as she was coming closer to her. But she stopped just in front of him, and her wings became motionless, and the piece of the fish was in her beak but out of the reach of Young Seagull. The moment was unusual for the young seagull, wondering why she was not coming closer.

Due to his unbearable hunger, he plunged toward the fish. He stooped downward and upwards in the feeling of fright set into her heart, and he became still. Everything becomes blank for him. But this moment remained for a minute. Winds touched his breast feathers and stomach and ran against his wings. Then, his wings expand outwards, the wind rushes against its feathers, and it begins to soar gradually downwards and outwards, feeling dizzy but no longer afraid. The bird flaps its wings once and soars upwards. The bird's family members swoop and scream as they fly around it, curvetting, banking, soaring, and diving. Having learned to fly, the bird forgets that it was not always able to do so and begins to dive, soar, and curve while shrieking loudly. The bird is now flying over the ocean, facing straight out.

His parents and siblings had already landed on the green floor, and he also paused his legs to stand at the green sea, and his legs sank. He tried to fly by expanding his wings but could not because he was tired and weak due to hunger. His family was extremely happy and constantly commended his effort. He was offered dogma fish. He flew for the first time.

The Black Aeroplane

The moon was rising in the east, and stars were twinkling with no presence of no clouds. The author was flying above the sky and was feeling extremely glad. He was flying an old Dakota plane in France route back to England. He was eager to spend time with his family and was constantly thinking about that, and he gazed at the watch which showed the time: One thirty in the morning.

He called Paris to control and told them he was in Dakota DS 088 and heading toward England. A reply from the other side via radio confirmed the author's voice and passed necessary instructions like you ought to turn twelve degrees west now, DS 088.

He opened his maps and switch and set the Dakota towards twelve degrees west towards England. At this, everything seemed to be perfect going along with time. Paris is 150km away from now, and he witnessed huge black storm clouds. The clouds were standing against like super big mountains, and at that time fuel of the Dakota was also getting exhausting. Due to fuel constraints, he could not fly up in the sky, either north to south. So, he was mulling going back to France, but he was deeply missing his home and breakfast. So, he decided to take the risk and drove his Dakota straight toward the cloud.

After entering the cloud, everything seemed to be black. He could not be able to see anything outside. His plane jumped and twisted in the air.

He tried with a compass to get any idea, but the compass was not showing any conclusive direction, and all the equipment with him had become dead. He desperately tried to reach the Paris control room via radio, but there was no response. The author seems helpless and pessimistic as he is not getting help from the control room and compass. But he saw another airplane from the black cloud devoid of wings and light but still flying in the sky. However, he could witness the flight near him and fly. He was very glad to see the Pilot of the plane that had waved at him. The Pilot instructed to follow him because the Pilot may know that he has been stuck in the cloud. The Pilot put his plane towards the North of Dakota to make it easy to follow. Like a little child, the author seems glad to follow the Pilot.

After, the black airplane was still visible to him, and the Dakota had left with fuel for only a 5-10 minutes flight. A sense of feat set into the author and began to go down as he followed in the storm.

Suddenly he exited from the cloud and witnessed light in front of him. This gave him relief, and he hoped he was alive and secure. He saw an airport, and the sight overjoyed him. He returned to the black airplane but saw an empty sky. He landed and went to the control tower. He asked the woman in the tower for the other Pilot who guided him. He wanted to say thank you. But the woman gave an unusual look and laughed at him. She clarified to him that no other plane in the dusty cloud was flying tonight, and she observed his plane only on the radar. He was amused, and his mind filled with lots of questions.
