a. Which winds bring rainfall in India? Why is it so important?

Answer: The south-west monsoon winds blowing from Arabian Sea and Bay of Bengal towards the land brings rainfall in India. These winds carry moisture with them. When such winds strikes the mountains barriers, the rainfall occurs. It is important because rainfall provides adequate water and a beautiful crop.

b. Name the different seasons in India.

Answer: There are four different seasons in India, which are as follows:

i. Cold Weather Season (Winter)

Months: December to February

ii. Hot Weather Season (Summer)

Months: March to May

iii. Southwest Monsoon Season (Rainy)

Months: June to September

iv. Season of Retreating Monsoon (Autumn)

Months: October and November

Answer: The grasses, shrubs, and trees which grow on their own without any interference or help from the human beings is called natural vegetation.
