In 1997, two French IT businesses merged with the Dutch-based company Origin BV in 2000 to form Atos Origin. In 2002, it bought KPMG Consulting, and in 2004, it bought SchlumbergerSema. Atos Origin announced the purchase of Siemens IT Solutions and Services in 2010 and completed the transaction in July 2011. After then, the corporation was renamed Atos. Atos and Google Cloud announced a worldwide alliance in April 2018 to provide safe artificial intelligence solutions. The two businesses will develop joint products and open artificial intelligence "labs" in London, Dallas, Munich, and Paris as part of this collaboration. As part of its ambition to become a "digital pure player," the corporation would sell Worldline, its payment arm, in 2019.
