Atos is an international information technology (IT) service and consultancy firm based in Bezons, France, with operations all over the globe. High-tech transactional services, cloud, big data, unified communications, and cybersecurity are among its specialties. Atos is recognized for its global brands such as Atos, Worldgrid, Atos Consulting, Canopy, Atos Healthcare, Atos|Syntel, Atos Groupe Bull, and Unify.

In 1997, two French IT businesses merged with the Dutch-based company Origin BV in 2000 to form Atos Origin. In 2002, it bought KPMG Consulting, and in 2004, it bought SchlumbergerSema. With various market-leading digital solutions, consulting services, digital security, and decarbonization products, an end-to-end partnership approach, Atos is the worldwide leader in safe and decarbonized digital. The company aims to achieve carbon-neutrality for both the organization and our customers and partners as a net-zero pioneer in decarbonization services and products. Atos is a SE (Societas Europaea) with a stock exchange listing on Euronext Paris and a position in the Next 20 Paris Stock Index. Atos Origin announced the purchase of Siemens IT Solutions and Services in 2010 and completed the transaction in July 2011. After then, the corporation was renamed Atos. Atos and Google Cloud announced a worldwide alliance in April 2018 to provide safe artificial intelligence solutions. The two businesses will develop joint products and open artificial intelligence "labs" in London, Dallas, Munich, and Paris as part of this collaboration. As part of its ambition to become a "digital pure player," the corporation would sell Worldline, its payment arm, in 2019. In April 2020, the corporation would progressively sell its shares, leaving it with just a 3.82 percent holding in World line. Following Thierry Breton's appointment as European Commissioner, Elie Girard will be CEO on November 1, 2019. In December 2019, Atos purchased Maven Wave, a Google Cloud Premier Partner based in America specializing in mobile applications, data analytics, experience design, and cloud architecture. Atos, GENCI, and CEA unveiled the "Joliot-Curie" supercomputer in June 2020, which will aid academic and industry open research.

Services

Atos' activities are divided into four categories. Datacenter management, service desk, and unified communications are examples of infrastructure and data management. For business applications and platform solutions, Atos provide consulting and systems integration. Atos has been the official IT partner of the Olympic Games since 2001, and the partnership is intended to last until at least 2024. Atos was active in prior Games throughout the 1990s, beginning with the Barcelona Olympic Games in 1992, thanks to SchlumbergerSema's takeover.
