Realme's Production

• The Chinese giant is expanding its production base in India despite seeing a Covid-19 surge in India. According to its CEO and Vice-President, Madhav Seth, all realme's TVs and smartphones sold in India are manufactured in India. He says that 100% of phones and television sold in India are manufactured in India, and 60% of the components are manufactured in India.
• Realme's manufacturing facility in India is located in Noida, Uttar Pradesh, employing 10,000 production line workers. They shared this facility with Oppo, another biggest smartphone maker.
• Realme also plans to open its flagship global stores in India and aims to increase its stores in India.
• This idea of opening manufacturing facilities aligns with the Government of India's Make in India Initiative, which aims to boost local manufacturing and facilitate foreign investments.
