JQuery Validation

In this article, we will learn how to validate the form and add validations in form using jQuery. First of all, we will understand some basic meaning of jQuery and validation. After this, we can understand this topic with the help of various examples of validation of form with jQuery.

JQuery:

JQuery is a fast, lightweight, small, and feature-rich JavaScript library. For adding jQuery in the form we can use the <script> tag.

<script src="https://cdnjs.cloudflare.com/ajax/libs/jquery/3.4.0/jquery.min.js"> </script>

In this, the src attribute is used to add a link to jQuery.

You can also download the jQuery and add the source of jQuery in the src attribute of the <script> tag.

Validation in JQuery:

Using JQuery, a form is validated on the client-side before it is submitted to the server, hence saves the time and reduce the load on the server.

Form Validation means to validate or check whether all the values are filled correctly or not. It is a very good idea to validate a form before submitting it. Earlier file validations were done on the server-side, which results in server processor cycles and increases users' waiting time. They wait for confirmation that data has been entered properly in the form. Thus, client-side form validation guarantees that only correct data is passed to the webserver.
