Agra University

Agra University, now known as Dr Bhimrao Ambedkar University, is an open university in the Indian state of Uttar Pradesh. The institution bears Bhimrao Ambedkar, an Indian scholar, social reformer, and creator of the Indian Constitution.

About

1st July 1927 saw the establishment of Dr Bhimrao Ambedkar University, thanks to the tireless efforts of a group of committed educators, including Rev. Canon A.W. Davis, Munshi Narain Prasad Asthana, Dr L.P. Mathur, Lala Dewan Chand, Rai Bahadur Anand Swaroop, and Dr Brajendra Swaroop, University's original jurisdiction entailed United Provinces of Agra, Central India, and Rajputana with 14 affiliated faculties and 2530 college students of which, 1475 college students belonged to United Provinces.

Admission and Courses

The courses at Dr Bhimrao Ambedkar University are available at various levels, including undergraduate (BBA, B.Ed., B.Sc. in physical science, etc.), postgraduate (M.Sc. in mathematics, computer applications; MBA, M.Com. etc.), and doctoral levels. The institution also recognizes a variety of national-level entry tests, including UPCET and UPTU. Merit and admission examinations are used to determine who gets into the University.

BA: This institution offers BA programs in history, psychology, mathematics, and English. Students who complete 10+2 with an average score of 50% pursue it. Any reputable board of education must be the source of the education.

B.Voc: Students have the option of pursuing a B.Voc degree, which is also available in a variety of subjects. Additionally, passing the 12th-grade exam with at least 50% is required.

MBA: Passing an entrance test like the CAT, MAT, or CMAT with a satisfactory score is one of the requirements for admission. A BBA or an equivalent degree with an average GPA of 55% (or 50% for SC/ST) is required for access.

MA: This University offers merit-based Master of Arts admissions for various fields. To graduate, a student must earn at least 50% of the maximum score in their bachelor's or comparable degree.

MCA: Dr BR Ambedkar University offers the postgraduate course MCA (Master of Computer) Applications. Candidates can apply for enrollment in this course if they have received their bachelor's degree or similar in a relevant stream. One of the most professional programs requires at least two years to complete.

Placements

The University also has a placement cell that functions appropriately to improve the learners. The cell plans activities to ensure students' progress on a routine basis. The team organizes pep speeches, mock tests, ability enhancement, and the technical and soft talents of the students and brings industry-ready qualities. The cell sends invitations to several elite organizations & groups to participate in the recruitment drives.

The employers plan a pre-placement event where they provide the students with an overview of the company's operating structure and job description and take questions from Dr Bhimrao Ambedkar University students based on the employer and industries in which the employers function.

Top companies, TCS, Wipro, and Microsoft, hire qualified college students. The maximum remuneration package was provided at INR 15 LPA, and the average CTC was presented at INR 8LPA.
