Admission Process for Christ University

University admits students by conducting entrance exams for all disciplines except MBA. They consider marks of these exams CAT, GMAT, CMAT, XAT, MAT, and ATMA for MBA admission. CUET comprises a skill assessment, entrance, micro presentation, and interview.

Application Process

  • There are two ways to obtain forms: The Official Website and Admission Office at Christ University.
  • Options are provided to the candidates to fill application process offline, and they have to submit the application form in person to the University Admission Office.
  • Those candidates who wish to apply for the Online application form must generate a username and registration I.D. and complete the application form with the necessary details.
  • Pay the application fees using a debit card, credit card, or net banking.
  • Keep the registration number, and it is advised to take a printout of the admission form.
  • Upload all the asked documents and submit them online

Campus

The university campus covers 25 acres of area and includes 100 acres of Dharmaram College Campus situated in the Central Part of Bangalore city. The city is located near residential areas, such as Koramangala, a large neighbourhood; Jayanagar, one of the massive residential neighbourhoods; and BTM Layout, a commercial and residential area. Christ, in 2009, inaugurated its Kengeri Campus, which spans over 75 acres. The campus is on the Bangalore-Mysore Highway and houses the P.U. Residential College, the School of Business and Management, which gives BBA and MBA courses, the School of Engineering and Technology, and the school of Architecture started operating in 2017. They also have a campus on Bannerghatta Road Campus. Christ is planning to establish a new campus in Yashwanthpur. It will become functional in August 2022. The campus has been designed to be 10 stories tall and covers a lot of space. Its campus is also in Pune and Lavasa, founded in 2007, and Delhi, which came in 2013. They have turned their campuses into Zero Waste campuses and are fully equipped with machines that could wet waste and used paper.

Administration and Organisational Distribution of the Christ University

The Syro Malabar Major Archiepiscopal Church indirectly manages Christ University. The Vice-Chancellor manages the day-to-day administrative work and takes all the major decisions. Dr Fr Abraham Vettiyankal Mani currently holds the post of Vice-Chancellor. Mani has a doctorate from Bangalore University and holds a considerable amount of expertise in Computer science. However, it is usually seen that the office of the Vice-Chancellor is held by the priest from the church community, but the person has all the necessary qualifications to become the Vice-Chancellor, which the UGC mandates. Vice-Chancellor has wide powers and huge responsibilities, so several men work under him to carry out these immense responsibilities. The registrar works under him, and the present registrar of Christ University is Dr Anil Joseph Pinto. The Chief Finance Officer of the University deals with the financial activities of the university. University also has several departments and deaneries, and department heads and deans manage them.

Christ University has set up a dedicated placement cell that brings companies to the college. The university has an impeccable record in placements. Scholarships Programs at Christ University

Christ University provides financial assistance and scholarships to deserving students, and the list is given below:

Financial Assistance: Candidates must fill out a separate application form to take the scholarship. The college's Scholarship Committee will assess them with an Interview, and their concessions will be given before paying their fees. The percentage could go to 0-50% and 0-90% for the courses.

Merit Scholarships:

  • If the candidates have scored 80% and above/his full fees will be waived off for the semester
  • If the candidates have scored 75% marks and above, 50% of the fees will be waived off for the semester examinations.

  • Library- The University claims to have a massive library containing thousands of encyclopedias, reference books, and yearbooks.
  • Gym: Students who stay in the hostel also get Gym facilities.
  • Hostel: Central Campus of Christ University has three blocks. Options are available to choose twin sharing, single sharing, or triple sharing.
  • Wi-Fi: Wi-Fi facility is accessible to all faculty members, staff, and students. The university has also formed a dedicated group of I.T. professionals to create a digital infrastructure.
  • Common Kitchen: Students residing in the hostel have a common kitchen fully equipped with microwave ovens and induction cookers.
