The impressive structure gets its name from the red sandstone used in its construction. The Red Fort has several noteworthy historical buildings, including Diwan-i-Am and Diwan-i-Khas. Even a museum devoted to the weaponry used by the Mughals in battle is located within the compound. Every day in the evening, there is also a light and sound spectacular planned.
