Initial YearsAnand Aravindakshan comes from a musical family, and his father, Shri. V.A. Aravindakshan is a well-known Bharatanatyam Carnatic musician. At the age of six, he began studying Indian classical music with famous Carnatic music icon Sangita Kala Acharya Smt. Seetha Rajan. After realizing his interest in music, he began delving more deeply into different kinds of music during his school years. He credits his mother, Usha Aravindakshan, a homemaker without professional music training, for helping him appreciate the poetry and dynamics of a film song. He considers this to be the most significant lesson he has ever learned. His confidence increased, and his successes in school competitions strengthened his sense of direction. JourneyAt a turning point between pursuing a career in the financial sector and entering the mainstream of playback singing as a business student at R.K.M. Vivekananda College, he decided to take part in reality shows to give himself an honest opinion of how good or horrible he is. His first was the famed Malayalam reality program Gandharva Sangeetham on Kairali Tv, where he won an award and finished second behind Padma Vibhushan Dr. K.J. Yesudas, a great vocalist. The win gave him much more confidence to pursue music as a career. He continued to take part in several more reality competitions, placing second in "Raagamalika" on Jaya Tv, second in "Athiradi Singer" on Sun Tv, and first in "SaReGaMaPa" on Zed Tamil. The cherry on top was his victory in South India's most popular reality show on Vijay TV's Tamil language channel, "Super Singer," which earned him much-needed attention. His performance of the song "Kannamma Kanavilaya" in front of the great singer Padma Bhushan Dr. S.P. Balasubrahmanyam was one of the most well-liked episodes in the show's history. Hearing Anand perform the song he initially performed brought tears to his eyes. This experience continues to rank among Anand's most treasured memories. A successful song from the film "Kodi" by famous music composer Santosh Narayanan, "Sirukki Vaasam," which created a rage among the young people, was given to him as a result of the super singer's success, opening doors to the film business.
