In the Indian cinema and television industries, Kashmera Shah is a well-known face who has participated in many of the most well-liked productions. She is originally from Mumbai, India, and is Anjanibai Lolekar's granddaughter, the most renowned classical vocalist in that country. Being half Maharashtrian and partly Gujarati, she has worked in Marathi and Indian films. She is a Sagittarius by birth sign. Princess High School in Mumbai is where she received her education. She made the decision to consider modeling as a career at the mere age of sixteen. She began calling several modeling agencies and secured some lucrative modeling jobs. She was a well-known Indian model by the age of 22. She won Miss University World hosted at her college in 1993 while she was still a student. She represented India in a beauty contest held in South Korea that year and took first place.

She later won numerous beauty pageants. Her debut dance routine, "Pappa Ro Paap," was in the Telugu movie "Intlo Illalu Vantintlo Priyuralu" in 1996. She has performed as a dancer in several popular Bollywood songs, including "Jawani se jung ye choli meri ab tang" in the movie Vaastav: The Reality (1999), "Ban Than" in the movie Kurukshetra (2000), and "Dil ko hazar baar roka" in the movie Murder (2004).

In several Hindi movies, including Yes Boss (1997), Pyar To Hona Hi Tha (1998), Hindustan Ki Kasam (1999), Dulhan Hum Le Jayenge (2000), Kahin Pyaar Na Ho Jaaye (2000), and Wake Up Sid (2009), she has played a supporting role. She co-starred with Krushna Abhishek in the Bhojpuri movie "Naag Naagin" in 2008.

Aawhan (2015), FU: Friendship Unlimited (2017), and Shikari (2018) are a few Marathi movies in which she has also made an appearance. She has also acted in a number of TV series, including "Hello Bollywood" (1994), "Private Detective: Two Plus Two Plus One" (1997), "Hum Ne Li Hai-Shapath" (2013), and "Siya Ke Ram" (2015).

My mother has raised Govinda ji, so I have all the right to be upset with him."
  • She received backlash in 2013 for her remarks against the Indian cricket squad. She claimed that the group was "full of losers" and that they had no chance of winning the World Cup. After receiving intense criticism for her remarks, she was forced to retract her words.
  • She and comedian Kapil Sharma were at the center of a dispute in 2017. During the Comedy Nights With Kapil recording, she charged Kapil with acting impolite and unprofessionally. The two engaged in an online public fight when Kapil refuted the accusations.
