After this, in 2006, Rohit Shetty directed another film; from which Rohit Shetty's direction was highly praised, and he became a successful director overnight. Golmaal's first part was released in the year 2006, and this is a comedy film series directed by Rohit Shetty, and Ajay Devgan is in the main lead actor; this movie was very successful at the box office, and even today, after the release of more than 15 years this movie is a favourite comedy movie of many movie lovers. After this, he directed another movie Sunday which was also successful at the box office, and a sequel of his previous superhit movie Golmaal Returns and both these films were released in the year 2008. After the success of the film Singham, he directed another film in the year 2012, and this movie was also do very well at the box office; and name of the movie was Bol Bachchan; in this film again Ajay Devgan worked with Rohit, and Abhishek Bachchan was also in the main character in this movie. Before 2013, he was a well-known director and established himself as one of the best directors in Bollywood, but after 2013 everything changed; he counted among the top directors in the history of Bollywood due to the Film Chennai Express, which was released in the year 2013, after release, this film became a most successful movie of Rohit Shetty career. Shah Rukh Khan worked with Shetty through this film for the first time, and Deepika Padukone was also the lead actress. 
This film broke each and every box office record at that time and was liked by all most every movie lover. After the release of this film, everything changed for Rohit Shetty; every top actor in Bollywood wanted to work with Rohit Shetty because they knew Rohit Shetty does not make flop movies. After the success of Chennai Express in the year 2014, he directed the sequel of Singham, Singham Returns, and this movie was another hit movie in the list of Rohit Shetty-directed movies.
