Dia Mirza is an Indian model and Bollywood actress who was born in Hyderabad, Andhra Pradesh, on December 9, 1981. Dia Mirza is more well-known as a Bollywood actor than a model. Dia Mirza was the second winner of the Miss India Beauty Contest in 2000 and Miss Asia Pacific in 2000.

Family Background

Dia Mirza's father was a German Frank Hendricks, who is a graphic and industrial fair designer, artist, architect and interior designer, and Deepa, her mother, was from Bengal, who is an interior designer and landscaper. She also volunteers to help drug and alcohol addicts. When Dia Mirza was four and half years old, her parents got divorced. Diya Mirza's father died when she was nine years old, and her mother married Ahmed Mirza, a Muslim man from Hyderabad. Dia adopted the surname of her stepfather. Ahmed Mirza died in 2003. Although Dia Mirza belongs to a Muslim community and grew up accordingly, she believes in Hinduism.

Dia Mirza received her early schooling at Vidyaranya High School in Hyderabad, and later she has enrolled in Nassar School, a girl's day school in Khairatabad. She enrolled at Stanley Girls Junior College for completing her higher education, which she eventually dropped out in the middle of the course and earned a Bachelor of Arts degree(by correspondence) from Ambedkar Open University, Hyderabad.

Since 2011, Dia has been in a relationship with her long-term business partner. Dia married her long-term business partner and beau Sahil Sangha on 18 October 2014 on Sahil's Chhatarpur Farmhouse in Delhi. Sahil Sangha is a Delhi-based filmmaker and businessman and her first spouse.

Dia Mirza and her husband, Sahil Sangha, ended their relationship on August 1, 2019. On Instagram, they released a statement regarding their split. She posted a message that stated,

"We're still friends," she said, "and we'll be there for one other with love and respect." After 5 years of marriage, Dia Mirza and Sahil Sangha were divorced. The pair decided to end their relationship on the basis of mutual consensus.

On February 15, 2021, Dia Mirza got married to the businessman Vaibhav Rekhi in Mumbai. Her choice sparked a lot of interest among her followers. In April 2021, she announced about her pregnancy and delivered a premature baby boy on May 14, Avyaan Azaad Rekhi.

Dia Mirza has been involved in various community services and campaigns. She has been involved with the Spastics Society of India and the Cancer Patients Aid Association. She has also worked with the Andhra Pradesh government to spread awareness about HIV and prevent of female fortified.
