Sonia Mann, an Indian film actress and model hailing from Uttar Pradesh, is prominently active in the Tamil, Telugu, Malayalam, Hindi, and Punjabi film industries. Born on September 10, 1986, in Amritsar, Punjab, India, she practices the Punjabi religion. She is the daughter of the late Baldev Singh Mann and Paramjit Kaur, who is a homemaker.

Sonia attended Holy Heart Presidency School for her schooling and pursued her graduation at BBK DAV College for Women, Amritsar. Her journey began in the modeling world before stepping into the film industry. Her debut in acting was marked by the Malayalam film "Hide n' Seek," and she subsequently ventured into the Punjabi, Telugu, and Bollywood film scenes.

Sonia Mann was born in Haldwani. Her parents were Baldev Singh Mann and Paramjit Kaur. Her father was an activist with left-wing leanings. Tragically, he lost his life at the hands of militants in Amritsar on September 26, 1990, while en route to see his newborn daughter. Sonia was raised in Amritsar, where she completed her primary education at Holy Heart Presidency School. Later, she pursued her college education at BBK DAV College for Women in Amritsar.

Career

Sonia Mann gained recognition through her appearances in numerous Punjabi music videos. Her foray into films began with the Malayalam movie "Hide n' Seek," released in 2012. Subsequently, she starred in another Malayalam film titled "Teens," which hit screens in 2013. She also ventured into the Punjabi film industry with the movie "Haani" in 2013. "Bade Changey Ne Mere Yaar Kaminey" was a Punjabi film in which she acted, and it was released in 2014; she made her Bollywood debut the same year with "Kahin Hai Mera Pyar."

In 2015, Sonia's Telugu film "Dhee Ante Dhee" made its way to theaters, and in 2016, her Punjabi film "25 Kille" was released, followed by another Punjabi film, "Motor Mitraan Di." In 2017, she had a brief appearance in the Marathi film "Hrudayantar." She also starred in her second Telugu film, "Dr. Chakravarthy," released in the same year. Additionally, she was part of the Hindi film "Happy Hardy and Heer," which hit theaters on January 31, 2020.
