Deepak was born on the 15th of September 1979, there is not much information about his early life but his schooling at Gill Adarsh Matriculation Higher Secondary School, Chennai shows that he stayed in Chennai in his initial days as well as Later he did his graduation in Economics from the Loyola College.

When Deepak completed his graduation as a Video Jockey and even before starting his career as an actor, he was Modeling with some of his very close friends Sanjeev, Venkat, and Shree later he also got a chance to share screen with all of them in different shows and daily soups. Even in one of his interviews he once shared that his Co-star Sanjeev was the one who recommended him to the makers of 'Thirumathi Selvam' for a supporting role and although his role was not so big as his performance was so great and praised by the audience that the maker was forced to give him a role as one of the main protagonist. The show caught the attention of a very huge audience and Deepak's role is one of the most liked characters in the show. Although he started his career as a TV Actor he is liked by a huge number of people which soon gave him a chance to be a host on various different reality shows.
