Early life

Sai Pallavi was born on 9 May 1992 in Kotagiri district of Tamil Nadu. Sai Pallavi Senthamarai was brought and raised in Coimbatore. Sai Pallavi is a well-established south Indian actress who have made debuts in various regional movies like Malayalam, Tamil, and Telugu Films. Sai Pallavi is named by her fans as a Natural Lady Star. She is one of the few actresses who dubbed their own voice irrespective of the language in all their films.

Childhood

Sai Pallavi was raised and did her schooling in Coimbatore. She speaks the Badaga language as her mother tongue is Badaga. Before her acting career used to be in the medical sector profession. She finished her medical studies at University of Tbilisi State Medical located in Georgia in 2016.

Career

Sai adores her mother for the dancer she is. Sai once said in an interview that if she wasn't interested in acting, she would have become a dancer like her mother. Sai participated in several competitions and events at school which made her popular in school. She even took part in the dance television show Ungalil Yaar Adutha Prabhu Deva which was telecasted on Vijay TV. She also participated in the reality show Dhee Ultimate Dance Show on which she became a finalist. This could be possible due to her passion for dancing and her mother's support.

Sai Pallavi got noticed for the first time for her character role as Malar in the Malayalam film Premam in 2015. The movie Premam received high and was a blockbuster movie. She received immense love and awards for this film. Her character Malar in the film got her nominated for the Film fare award for best female debut south category. She was also honored by SIIMA awards for best debut female. She landed herself in the International race too by receiving the Asian Film award for the Most Popular Actress.

Since Sai's chart of success has been increasing with each passing day. She got cast opposite to Dulqar Salman in Kali in 2016. In the next year, she got cast in a romantic film Fidaa as Bhanumati opposite Varun Tej. Sai Pallavi received a Film fare for Best Telugu Actress for Bhanumatu in Fidaa.

She started her career in Tamil films by featuring in a film named Diyaa in 2018 which was directed by A.L.Vijay.

She also did a movie Athiran with Fahad Fasil which proved to be a great success in Bollywood.

Sai began acting for the film Padi Padi Leche Manasu along with Sharwanand in February 2018. However, the film didn't do well at the box office. It was quoted in the media that Sai refuses to take full payment as she believed her lack of performance could also be the reason for the failure of the movie at the box office.

Next year, she depicted a role of an autistic girl in Athiran, a psychological thriller with Fahadh Faasil.

Then in 2020, she was noticed by Forbes magazine and got featured in the list of India's 30 under 30. Sao was the only actress from the Indian film industry to be on the Forbes list. Sao has been a part of the Netflix Series Paava Kadhaigal directed by Vetrimaaran.

In the last year, she associated with Shekhar Kammula and Shyam Singa Roy film opposite Nani after the MCA film. Unfortunately, the film Shyam Singa Roy underperformed at the box office but Sai was highly praised for her role.

She is also going to be part of the film Gargi, which is directed and written by Gautam Ramachandran. The film Gargi is going to be a women-centric film fighting for justice. Sai announced her next film Gargi on her birthday through twitter post

Rumors

According to sources, it is believed that Sai Pallavi is soon to get married after the release of Viraata Parvam. The film Viraata Parvam also stars Rana Daggubati and is directed by Venu Udugula. These rumors have been evident as the star Sai Pallavi has not signed any film post-Viraata Parvam. As of now, it is rumored that the groom's search is happening by her parents which implies she is not romantically involved with anyone.

Controversy

During the promotions of Shyam Singa Roy, Sai gave a hard hit to a journalist who asked Nani and Krithi Shetty about the kissing scene in front of her. She said I find this question very uncomfortable as it is not a place to ask. They both did it for the sake of the storyline, what is asked of them by the director. But when you put this question like this, it became uncomfortable.

However, getting called out by Sai, the journalist didn't seem to care and continued to ask intimate kissing scene related questions and Sai replied it is unfair to continue with such questions.
