Early Life

Geeta Kapoor, also known as Geeta Maa, was born in Maharashtra, Mumbai, on July 5th, 1973. She is a dancer and a successful choreographer in the movie industry. She choreographs a lot of movies with her excellent dancing tips. She also judges many dance and reality shows on television.

Geeta Kapoor had a strong desire to dance when she was a kid. She sometimes used to appear during family parties and engage in dance competitions.

Geeta Kapoor was previously linked to well-known choreographer Rajeev Khinchi. She was wearing a reddish gown, but Geeta disputed reports of her marriage. Geeta believes Farah Khan is her surrogate mother, as well as Geeta also has a special connection with superstar Shilpa Shetty.

Marriage

Geeta Kapoor denied the allegations of her marriage and said that even if she does get married, she will not keep it a secret from everyone. As of 2022, she is still unmarried. Geeta Maa also said that she has just lost her mother and that she has no intention of getting married soon.

Career

Geeta Kapoor began as a backup support performer in several musical scenes, employing a combination of both traditional and contemporary dance skills.

She did choreography in many movies, such as Kaalakaandi in 2018 and Happy New Year in 2014. She also supported in several other movies, like Student of the Year in 2012, Panjaa in 2011, We are Family in 2010, Tees Maar Khan in 2010, Aladin in 2009, Ghajini in 2008, Thoda Pyaar Thoda Magic in 2008, Naksha in 2006, Pyaare Mohan in 2006, Jann - E - Mann: Let's fall in love…Again in 2006 and Maine Pyaar Kyun Kiya in 2005 as an assistant choreographer. Because of multiple hit movies, she became well-known as an assistant choreographer or choreographer and got the judge role in many television shows based on dance. Geeta Maa additionally served as a junior choreographer on the movie Housefull 2.

She performed as a supportive crew of the team in movies like Madhosh, released in 1994, Oh Darling Yeh Hai India in 1995, Aur Pyaar ho Gaya in 1997 (as a dance assistant) and Dil Se movie in 1998. In the movie Kuch Kuch Hota Hai, she played an actor and a dance assistant.

She choreographed the following movies: Armaan in 2003, Haasil in 2003, Tumko Na Bhool Payenge in 2002, Saathiya in 2002, Maine Dil Tujhko Diya in 2002, Kya Yehi Pyaar Hai in 2002, Asoka in 2001, Mohabbatein in 2000, Fiza in 2000, Mel in 2000 and many other movies.

First Dance in Bollywood

Geeta Kapoor performed for Tujhe Yad Naa Meri Aayi song in Shah Rukh Khan & Kajol's film named Kuch Kuch Hota Hai. After this, she did a lot of work in Bollywood and choreographed several people.

Controversy

Geeta Kapoor was detained by the Versova police in 2015 when she hit a man at around 5 am. Some people who witnessed the accident reported that Miss Geeta was speeding at full force on an open road when she collided with Nisar, who was walking on the side of the road. Despite his great efforts to control the issue, the complainant lodged a complaint which resulted in her imprisonment.

Salary

Geeta Kapoor (Geeta maa), a well-known Hindi cinema dancer, usually assesses Super Dancer shows. She has been seen in many dance shows alongside Shilpa Shetty. Geeta Maa subsequently earns between twelve and fifteen lakh rupees for every show. However, her income from movies and other sources is not known.

5. In 2013, she took part in shows on two different platforms: India's Dancing Superstar as a judge on the Star Plus channel and DID Dance Ka Tashan as a judge on the other channel Zee TV.
6. In 2014, she took part in the show Dance India Dance Li'l Masters season 3 as a judge on the Zee TV channel.
7. In 2015, she took part in the show named as Dance India Dance Super Mom Season 2 as a judge and Dance India Dance season 5 as a guest appearance on the Zee TV channel.
8. In 2016, she took part in a new show called Super Dancer (Dance Ka Kal) as a judge on the television channel Sony TV.
9. In 2017, she took part in the show Super Dancer chapter 2 on the same channel Sony TV as a judge and contributor.
10. In 2018, she took part in the same show sequence of Super Dancer season 3 on the Sony TV channel as a judge and on the new reality show called India Ke Mast Kalandar in the same role on the known TV channel called Sony SAB.
11. In 2019, she took part in the show Dance Plus, the well-known dance reality show where a lot of dancers competed (a solo, duo or a group). She was a special guest on this show, hosted on the Star Plus channel.
12. In 2020, Geeta Maa took part in the show India'sIndia's Best Dancer as a judge on a TV channel called Sony TV.
13. In 2021, Geeta Maa took part in the show Maharashtra's Best Dancer as a guest and judge on the TV channel Sony Marathi.

Facts about Geeta Kapoor

1. She stated that she initially intended to work as a flight attendant but was unable to do so. As such, Geeta Maa sought a career as a dancer and choreographer.
2. One time, photographers who wanted to get a photograph of Geeta Kapoor followed her to the makeup room. She got irritated from this, so she shut the door. But, she accidentally locked the door and got stuck in the makeup room. After that, people called the fire brigade and released her from the makeup room.
3. Feroz Khan was the first person who called Geeta Maa to Geeta Kapoor, and after that, she was famed for this name.
4. Geeta Kapoor, including Shilpa and others, is judging at Super Dancer. Geeta Kapoor apparently earned between twelve and fifteen lakhs every session during the past period.
5. Instead of dance choreography, firstly, she started modelling when she was young.
6. She loves to work with her idol Farah Khan and wants to learn from her. After she joined the dance academy of Farah Khan, Geeta assisted as an assistant choreographer in the best blockbuster movie Kuch Kuch Hota Hai and many other super hit movies.
7. She loves to eat omelette as this is her favourite food.

10. Her estimated height is 165 cm, and her eye colour is said to be brown. She likes to keep black hair which has already been seen most of the time.
