Indian news anchor Meenakshi Kandwal began her career by securing first place in a Talent Hunt program conducted by Star News (now ABP News). She is currently one of the nation's most well-known female news anchors. She has worked for prominent news organizations, including India TV, Aaj Tak, and Star/ ABP News.

Born on the 16^th of March, Meenakshi has been excellent at her primary, secondary, and college education and career growth in general because of a good blend of knowledge, charisma, and soft skills required in her field of job. Her full name is Meenakshi Kandwal Raina.

Meenakshi had a huge interest in writing, reading, and watching non-fiction movies from an early age, which kept her inept with overall knowledge since the beginning. She belongs to the Garhwal region of Uttarakhand, but she was born in New Delhi. Born and brought up in New Delhi, she was keen to get admission to Delhi University from the start. After completing her primary education in Delhi, she secured good marks, was admitted into the Vivekananda College, and pursued commerce there. After completing her bachelor's, she went to Shri Aurobindo College of Arts and Communication to pursue M.A. in Mass Communication. She had made up her mind about joining anchoring because she believed that her skills fit this job role, and it was her personal interest as well.

Although she was quite confident, she had backups ready for the worst-case scenarios; she had decided to pursue the career of a travel blogger, storyteller, or motivational speaker in 2nd place, as these professions were quite similar to anchoring but a bit more outgoing and adventurous.

Career

Meenakshi won a very challenging competition called Star News' News Anchoring Competition, organized by the famous news channel Star News and won the title of 'Star Anchor Hunt'. She won this title on the 26^th of June 2010. This win was the biggest win for her competition-wise and career-wise, as she got an offer to work at Star News after winning this competition which took a very big toll on her career growth. She continued to work for Star News as one of the lead anchors for the next two long years till 2012 and finally took her next jump into India TV, which is considered to be one of India's most popular T.V. news channels.

While working at India TV, she got a job as a senior news anchor, which was an outstanding achievement for such a young anchor for that period. She continued to work there for the next three years till 2015 and decided to jump to another news channel. Finally, as her latest job profile, she works as a senior producer and anchor for India's most popular news channel, ' Aaj Tak'. She has two separate shows, which are hosted on Aaj Tak by the name 'Aaj-Subah' and 'Ek aur Ek Gyarah', which she hosts along with her co-host Neha Batham. She hosts another show that is only aired on the weekends, named 'Viral-test'.

Personal Life

Meenakshi Kandwal has been part of a big family. Her father's name is Mr. Madan Lal Kandwal, and her mother's name is Mrs Pushpa Kandwal. She has two lovely brothers by the name of Nitish Kandwal and Prashant Kandwal. She also has a sister by the name of Supriya Kandwal. Born among four siblings, she is described as very outgoing, expressive, and good-natured. After getting successful in her career, when she felt she had a stable career, she decided to marry a person of her love, Mr. Amit Raina (her current husband), in the year 2018. It was a love marriage, as she was dating him prior to the marriage. Meenakshi does not have children as of now.

Meenakshi belongs to a Hindu family and follows Hindu customs and traditions. Being a Garhwali, she was always fascinated by the mountains, especially since she was born and brought up in Delhi. Naturally, she felt a bond with the mountains and the state of Uttarakhand, as a result of which she enjoyed her trips to the mountains very much. Her favorite animal is a dog, and she considers herself to be an animal lover. She loves gardening in her free time. She does not smoke or drink. Meenakshi is trilingual as she can speak three languages that are English, Hindi, and Garhwali, very fluently. She has also appeared on the 11^th season of the famous television show 'Kaun Banega Crorepati', hosted by a very popular actor Amitabh Bachchan. Meenakshi's favorite sportspersons are Sachin Tendulkar, who is a very famous Indian cricket player, and Baichung Bhutia, who is a very famous Indian football player.
